Extended Stay America - Bakersfield - Chester Lane - Extended stay hotel in Bakersfield - 3600 Chester Ln, USA

This location was our home for three weeks after we moved cross country and our planned housing fell through. We were struggling so much and so scared but we felt safe here. The staff was incredibly kind to us and even understood when we couldn't pay a full deposit and had to come back the next day. The room was worn but clean. The beds were comfy, they had a twin cot for our child that worked fine. The kitchen came equipped with 4 place settings, a pot, a pan, a coffee pot, 2 burner stove, a full size fridge, microwave, and dishwasher.

No Ice Available-Refridgerator never got cold enough to freeze ice in the freezer. The ice issue during 100 degrees plus weather was a major issue for us. Towel policy was an issue exchanging dirty ones for clean ones in the middle of trying to get ready made us late for our event. Overhead light above mirror was broken and made makeup application near impossible. Other than those major issues the stay was fine as well as the courteous staff.

Literally the most unprofessional and worst experience ever. I should have read more google reviews before booking here. Like another guest has noted, and I would like mentioned that the hotels response was non responsive to the real issue, this hotel enforces “policies” not clearly stated anywhere while booking or for research prior to showing up from 24hours out of state. You can use tap to pay with your card but not on your phone. When I asked where it was stated they said “it’s on the door” oh okay so I have to drive 24 hours to find out these policies on your door LOL. Manager was called who didn’t bother to gett on the phone with me just had side conversations with the person at the front desk over the phone. Listen, when you lose your card while traveling which happens a lot don’t expect this place to have any empathy and expect left field “policies” that leave you SOL. There are so many better hotels within 5 min of this place DO NOT book here. Not even if it’s the last place just sleep in your car.

Worst place to stay ever. My work truck got broken into and over $6,000 worth of tools stolen. When I came in to the office at 6:00 in the morning, the security guard was sitting on his cell phone in the lobby. He never comes out and walks around. It's a waste of money. I would never stay there again. Me and three other of my guys stayed there for over 2 weeks. Lots of other better places around that actually have good security also had cockroaches in the room that I let the manager know about.

Great place to stay. No ice machine, elevator takes forever, assistant manager lacks reasonability but other than that... Rooms are clean and spacious and mini kitchens are a life saver. Full size fridge dishwasher and a small range stove. Microwave is garbage.

Denied our check-in and charge for FULL! Upon our arrival, we were shocked when front desk staff informed us that we could not check in because my wife forgot bring her ID, I presented my ID and all necessary booking details. Despite this, we are still be rejected! When I requested to see the written policy that mandates that all guests must present ID at check-in, the staff member could not provide any documentation or direct me to where this rule was clearly stated during the booking process. We were charged the full price of the room and couldn't get in! bad experience！！！

This hotel sucks. This place needs a whole new set of employees/ manager. Save your money and time. DO NOT BOOK HERE.

This location was very secure and well lit up at night. The bed was comfortable and room very clean. The gentleman at the front desk was helpful with any questions we had regarding the location and places to eat within walking distance. They also had a laundry facility on site. If we come back this direction we will definitely stay there again
