Stayed there one night n I wouldn't go back. I have a small dog so we called they told us the extra price for him which was fine then we get there n they tell us a higher price. After we started getting our bags out the n homeless people kept staring at us. We go in the room n had dirty sheets it was not clean at all. My sister said there was too much activity outside that she didn't get a well rest. Definitely don't recommend if u want peace of mind. Pay a little more to stay somewhere else.
My room was infested with bugs. I had my two small kids and they did not feel comfortable sleeping there. I asked for another room but they said they were all booked for the night. They were kind enough to send me my refund, sadly that took 3 days to arrive and I had nowhere to sleep with my kids but in my car.
Positive: The only good thing about this hotel was the friendly and accommodating staff. Negative: Location is ideal in center of the city but on the night of my stay, several shady characters lingering around, several kids smoking on premise, room reaked if cigarettes and felt musty Negative: ""
The Extended Stay is a very well kept up motel. The one and only complaint I can actually say is that there are way too many homeless people that sleep around and outside of the motel. Making it kind of scary for us visitors. I witnessed many people living off of the hill by the freeway and they stay walking around all hours of the night. That is the only real complaint that I can say . Other than that the staff treat you well and with respect and the rooms are very clean. Also there are a variety of places to eat out at for those who are budgeting and trying to stretch their dollar as well as several fuel station and convenience stores
This place was a lot of fun to stay at me and my 2 kids went down there to have a good time and get out of our house and I can say that it was a great experience. As a bonus we had a lot of fun watching trains from our room and outside, we spent hours doing that. Besides the people in the parking lot they weren’t much of a problem and seemed harmless it was a nice stay and we would definitely stay there again!
There are homeless people hanging around the hotel. The room wasn't clean and there wasn't a microwave in the room. The clerk that was on duty the day I checked out , needs to work on her public relations skills.
Sarah and the rest of the staff are extremely nice and understanding. Room is close to several restaurants and usually quiet at nice. Rooms are nice and spacious.
I was just told by a front desk representative that only management has the keys to the mailbox and cannot check the mail themselves, I have living here since March and I love the hotel, don't get me wrong. The staff is polite and attentive and is very prompt when you ask for something like garbage bags or toilet paper and a box of tissues. But I was never told that only the management has the key to the mailbox. I thought it was a federal law that we were supposed to receive our mail every day. I have never heard of such a thing until today. I thought that it was a federal law to get mail Monday through Saturday.

Stopped for dinner in Bakersfield on our way to San Jose. We enjoyed some pupusas - shrimp for hubby & loroco (squash flower) for me. The chicken tamal was very fluffy and had more of a spongy texture. The plantain empanadas were very rich and creamy
