Extended Stay America - Amarillo - West - Extended stay hotel in Amarillo - 2100 Cinema Dr, USA

Basic... Front desk person wasn't the most friendly or welcoming when coming into the hotel. The bed was super hard, pillows surprisingly soft and fluffy. The faucet in the room on the kitchen was put on backwards. Left very early in the morning, the young man at the front desk acted as if he didn't want to be there when I had to ring the bell to give him the cards. Overall wasn't the best of experience, but also wasn't the worst.

Lady at desk was great. Room didn't have cold water working in bathroom. Facets broken. Hard to shower and very little soap to wash up for 2 people. No pool or hot tub. 😫 they do allow dogs.

Update: management left a professional response below. They did not act like that when I called to tell them I was double charged. I had to cuss the manager out by the end of the call it was so bad. Don’t fall for the fake response below. Worst hotel ever. We got there and the first room was dirty then they said they didn’t have any more double beds, so I had to sleep on the floor, they were supposed to give me a refund but charged me twice then they said they didn’t charge me twice. The manager would not even take an email from me to prove they doubled charged me. I have to dispute it with my credit card company now. Horrible service

Rooms smell like dog piss and cigarettes even in the non smoking rooms. Bunch of people hanging outside the place that more than likely have a lease there. The a/c vents need to be cleaned you can see dirt and carbon from the smokers who smoked in the room on them. Young black lady at the front desk needs to work on her customer service skills. Wasnt very helpful when the first room smelled like dog piss. Went and ask for a different room at the front desk. Immediately got attitude and the second room smelled like someone chain smoked cigarettes in the room. Was too tired to go anywhere else. So it was either dog pee or cigarettes. The water in the shower worked well BUYER BEWARE!

One star. I stayed here for one night and asked the receptionist if they charged for a late check out. She told me not to worry about it. The next day another receptionist ended un charging me for the over stay making my whole stay more expensive. This should have been on them not on me. Bad Customer service.

Was there for a total of maybe 4 hours. Checked in late. 2 hours in saw a couple bugs. Tried to give the place the benefit of the doubt. Started to feel things crawling on me. Turned on the lights and there was a minimum of 20 bugs in plain site. Avoid this place at all costs. Owner refused any kind of refund. Instead he wanted to have a pissing contest over the phone. The place is a slum, ran by slum lords. Will be calling the health department and every other related agency that can be reached. Not only is it unsanitary it’s downright unsafe! Outside of the bugs the place was filthy. Fixtures were falling off the wall barely hanging. DONT STAY HERE. YOU WILL BE SLEEPING WITH ALOT OF BUGS!

I should have read the reviews before booking this hotel. Although it's a 2 star rated accomodation, there are still some basics that are expected that were not anywhere near close to satisfactory. 1. My travel companion and myself booked 2 rooms on Thursday for Saturday night. We arrived at 16:06 only to be told our rooms were not ready as they had not been clean and they were busy the night before. We were asked for our contact number and were told we'd be called once the rooms were ready in about an hour. 2. We went out to watch a game of High School baseball and after 1 hour decided we'd head back toward the hotel. We arrived 1 hour and 15 minutes after the first attempt to check-in, with still no phone call 3. We were advised that only 1 room was ready, the other would be ready very soon, the towels were jsut in the dryer. Upon receiving the keys and going into the room there were empty water bottles and paper on the floor, clearly not clean. I asked for a different room and said I'd be happy to go for dinner and await it being cleaned. I was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. I received the keys for that room, walked in and was instantly hit with the stench of smoke and a smoke alarm covered up. Needless to say, my friend and I went to reception and requested a refund and we found somewhere else to stay. The young lady behind the front desk was apologetic, but really, it isn't her fault that the management of this establishment are too cheap to hire enough cleaners and wish to operate this establishment as the cheapest nasiest hotel that Amarillo has to offer. Do yourself a favour and spend the extra money to skip this dive.

I don't make reviews but It was important for me to make this. YALL ARE WARNED. I was on a road trip and spent the night to rest at this hotel with my dog. The only thing I liked was that my dog is an ESA and they were very friendly and accepted my dog without charging me extra I appreciate that. BUT I've never stayed at a hotel like this. It was very dirty... the bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable :/ and the room was dirty. Also, it seems that people kinda live there too, I saw multiple people taking their trash out and it felt I was staying at a cheap, unsafe apartment place with weird neighbors. I couldn't sleep well after driving so many hours tired because I didn't feel safe, the bed was hard like a rock and everything just felt dirty. PLUS THE WATER HEATER WAS NOT WORKING!! I had someone else's hair in the tub and it was rusty. Oh, and about the smell people keep talking about, its true. They definitely don't take care of this hotel. It's only good if you want to spend the night at a cheap night for traveling and be scared for your life hahaha but sorry I can't recommend this place.
