I really cannot add more that hasn't already been said. I would just suggest that you get blackout curtains to put over your windows rather than the cottage shutters. People don't like to sleep in the daylight.
Cool management, very clean and quiet. Love the quality and cleanliness of the bathrooms. Updated TV’s, Wi-Fi is a little better than average. Not a big fan of breakfast bar, but they do have breakfast. Might need to ask for a extra blanket, covers are fairly thin if you like your room cold. Overall, very good hotel for its price. You will be surprised.
I read as many reviews as I could and decided to stay elsewhere. Yet other places in town were already sold out according to the online booking services. So here I am. I booked and arrived and was initially very pleased that I gave this place a chance. However, once I noticed one unfavorable detail, another one came to light. Then another and another, so on and so on... First the room was presented really nicely. Beautifully redecorated and furnished with cheap but functional furniture. The bed was awesome and comfortable even though the sheets were a slick polyester. The bath was large and more spacious than it looked from the room, which I have to say was very large and spacious itself. Then the details started coming to light. I thought it odd that when I entered the room the TV was on and had a ball game playing. There was an unfolded yet rolled towel on top of other folded towels. There were spots on the floor in front of the toilet with boot prints in what could have been oil, grease, or urine. I took a small towel to wipe it cleaner. That's when I noticed the hair stuck to the base of the toilet. Then I found curly hairs stuck in the loops of the towels. Three towels were unacceptable. One had a brown clump in the fibers that questioned sanitation. The bathmat towel was stained in what looked like oil or grease. This is truly a place popular with construction companies and laborers. The parking lot is extremely bright at night and the fleet vehicles dominate the lot. Those bright lights in the parking lot are clearly necessary because I was approached by young men at 10:30 at night soliciting a lighter. They found one because they were soon gathered in the corner lighting up something to smoke. The front desk being walled in with plexiglass should have been a warning. The parking lot lights kept me up a bit the first night because there's no room darking shades. The windows are outfitted with fashionable cottage blinds but they let a lot of light in. The light, and heat, poured in from around the ill fitted door. The door actually moved to and fro within its frame while being locked. The safety lock latch inside the room was broken off. There are several other reviews that mention the broken lock. One review from five (5) years ago. The overall remodeling of the place was poorly executed. The tile sidewalks could have been beautiful had the installation been better. Mortar is spilled everywhere and makes the outside area look unfinished. A true sign of poor workmanship and low standards.
Nice place to grab a night of sleep. Clean, reasonably priced and walking distance to a couple of restaurants.
The door /key cards hardly worked, it took ten times and you were lucky to get in the room. The fridge was broken and wouldn’t cool. The tv was broken and had no video signal. The towels were so rotten they had tons of brown stains. Shower very slippery. The air conditioner made tons of noise while running. The door didn’t lock properly from the inside- it was locked and housekeeping just barged in without knocking, very easily. And there was such a huge gap between the bottom of the door and the floor that bugs were constantly coming in our room. I can’t understand how this hotel won anything or is rated decently. We have traveled all over the country several times over and this place was pretty awful. You can tell these owners are extremely cheap.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was nice and helpful. Travel for work so I look for clean and affordable rooms. And I will return to this hotel on future trips.
Dirty place. The floor was so dirty that walking from the door to the bathroom your feet got with hair and I don't know what else. The bathroom had NO shower curtain and no soap. The microwave had two cups of old coffee in it. No comforters on the beds, only a blanket and 2 sheets. When I asked if they we're pet friendly she said no but they do accept dogs?? I had to pay $20. each for the dogs, but that's the usual price. The only thing is she made me pay for the dogs in cash. Just don't go there it'll be a big mistake.
For what I paid I felt like I got my money's worth. My only gripe is that I didn't know what was going to drive me crazy first The rattling refrigerator or the squeaking heater vent. That's something that really needs to be addressed But my room was believe it or not very clean and everything was in good working order microwave lights etc. The bed was a little rough to be desired The pillows were very very smallish and I felt like I could not establish the proper comfort as far as my head was concerned so when I woke up I had a bad headache and some neck pain. Location is very low key but it made perfect sense and it's right around the corner from that Buc-ees.
Everything about Evelyn's is great! The food is amazing, the customer service makes you feel at home. I had the baked chicken over mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and macaroni and cheese. As you see, nothing but bones were left. If you live close b
Dropped into this gem after a morning a fishing!! We were craving burgers and let me tell you they DELIVERED! The seating inside is nice..the booth are a bit narrow but I survived. There is outdoor seating as well. First off the menu is great youâ
First time EVER to Whataburger, and I loved it. Food was very fresh, but the service is what makes this place awesome. Guillermo Banda Jr. You need to give Lorine a raise. She is smiling always and checks on everyone inside when the line dies down. D
