Amazing accommodations! This family of six had plenty of room in the double queen bunk bed room. Loved the vintage fridge in the room. Continental breakfast had something for everyone. Kids loved the free arcade, ping pong, fairy house, bathtub full of bubbles, and Bubbles the Elf hanging from the chandelier. The price was so low, I thought it’d be a hostel. Definitely wasn’t!! Has won the past three years for amazing Christmas lights and decor. They will definitely keep winning as it’s over the top. Pool was warm on a cold night, kids loved the slide.

Stayed here for the first time and was really impressed, especially considering the lost cost of the stay. The rooms look recently updated and we're clean, with a fridge and microwave included and bath & body works in the bathroom. They allow pets, no questions asked. They have a heated pool and hot tub year round. And include a free breakfast. They're located in the middle of town which is nice. The only thing I wish they had was more parking. The parking lot filled up and it doesn't have room for trailers. I'd visit here again as long as I don't have a trailer with me.

The location was perfect. Just one block away from the center of town. Lotsa restaurants, souvenir stores a couple of minutes walk away. The room was clean and huge. The staff are warm, friendly and ever ready to help. The outdoor heated pool was a delightful surprise as we'd visited late Fall and to swim outdoors was a blast! Our kids loved the water slide. Our 13 year old son is crazy about table tennis and it's awesome they have a table tennis table in the game room with arcade games to boot! The Expedition Lodge is a must-stay for families with young kids.

Amazing experience. The retro style of the entire place was well done and was currently decorated for Halloween. The employees were very kind and helpful. Our room was clean and spacious. Mini fridge and microwave were so cute. The arcade and game area were fun for the whole family. The continental breakfast had so many more options compared to chain hotels and they kept the coffee filled. The heated outdoor pool/hot tub and water slide were was our favorite part and the hours of the pool made it perfect for both the early risers and nightowls.

Positive: We loved being able to have 3 queen beds so our family of 6 could stay together. The rooms were long so plenty of room for kids and our dog to play. Negative: Our bathroom fan made a very loud noise when we turned it on. We also had problem with our door not unlocking with our key. They staff though were fabulous and helped us multiple times with new keys and changing the batteries.

I stayed here in October while visiting the National and State Parks in and around Moab.||The location can’t be beat, right in the heart of downtown Moab within walking distance of main street’s restaurants and shops. ||The room had a creaky hardwood floor and some quirky decor that reminded me of a 1950s style diner. The beds were a little soft for my taste but were comfortable enough. There was little cabinet space and just a few clothes hangers, though the front desk person gave me a couple of extra hangers. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Amenities included a mini-fridge (in the shape of a 50s style icebox), microwave oven, coffee maker, hair dryer, and big screen TV. Breakfast consisting of cereals, muffins, pastries, fruit, and various juices was served in a small room behind the check-in area. There was free parking as well. ||I wasn’t especially impressed with this place when I first checked in, but I have to admit I grew to like it more the longer I stayed here. It has a kind of retro charm to it. Yes, it’s overpriced for what you get, but you could say that about nearly every accommodation in Moab. ||The Expedition Lodge is one of those tweener properties that is perhaps a little better than three stars but doesn’t quite merit four stars. Nevertheless, I went with the four star rating because of the optimal location and quaint decor that distinguish it from many of the chain motels in town. I would definitely consider staying here again.

For a revamped old motel this is an epic place.. love the retro vibes! The vinyl records, free arcade games, 60s diner lobby, heated pool and water slide, 3 queen rooms dog friendly and Main Street access are great. Beds were comfortable and clean, Faux wood floors nice and room size was large: bathrooms were the only slightly funky aspect unless you love linoleum and olive green but for the price and ease who cares. Breakfast was included and with variety of offerings including waffles, breakfast sandwiches and oatmeal in slow cooker. Exceeded my expectations for a roadside motel!

Super comfortable and clean. Loved the retro dining and breakfast area. Had a fun game room and the heated pool was super fun on a cold evening. Very affordable and the four queen bunk beds was perfect for our group.
