I've expected small economy motel room but got full size one: big bed, big screen, big table, big chair. Even the bathroom is twice bigger than I expected.
Wifi is good to. Just don't be scared by the dog at the reception, it's locked. And the lady is helpful as usually in the US
I normally wait until after to leave a review but I’ve been staying here for over 3 weeks and it’s been great! It’s clean and it’s quiet. Front desk and staff leave you alone, but are very responsive if you need them. I travel across the country and could tell some horror stories about motels. For the price and location- this place can’t be beat. (If you have an issue- I recommend you talk to staff before leaving an unwarranted bad review.. but that’s just my opinion)
The room we got smelled bad. The floors were very dirty our sock were black from walking on the floor. Mold in the shower. The owners were nice. The walkway too the room was bad. My wife has threatened me not to go here again.

They say that it is 'pet friendly' but they DO NOT expect cats. Last I heard cats ARE pets! So I did NOT stay here.
The room was pretty clean, including the sheets and towels, and the price was low. The workers were nice and helpful. There was a comfy couch to sit on, a table and two chairs, and a desk with a nice big lighted mirror where you can work or put your makeup on. However we killed six flies in our room, one lamp didn't work, there were very few electrical outlets, and one of them didn't work. Also there were no washcloths, but hey you save money.
Terrible. Major mold on grout around bathroom floor and on bottom of shower curtain. Bathroom sink all cracked. Toilet so low almost couldn't vacate it, lol. No facecloths available. Was told people flush them and cause backups. No tray in coffee maker. Etc, etc, etc. Never again.
The staff are super friendly large room lots of stores and restaurants close great place.
The best cinnamon rolls in Iowa are right here at West End Perk! I used to live in Marshalltown and every time I come back, I have to come have that cinnamon roll and a caramel-vanilla latte. The owner is fabulous and is in house every day.

As always, the food here is amazing! One of the great things about sub city is the freshness and the speed. The prices are good for the food you get. Only downside is that it's cash only, but there is an ATM in the store next door.
What a nice surprise in this small diner! The owner is very friendly and hard working taking orders, greeting customers and serving hot coffee! As my son said " OMG this is the BEST breakfast ever!" The pancake was big and the eggs taste like fresh
Purchased a bed frame along with a mattress from Slumberland. Felipe was the one to help me pick out a bed and provide details about the bed I was looking at. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and very satisfied with slumberland. Good prices
