Executive Inn and Suites - Hotel in Waukegan - 680 S Green Bay Rd, USA

All the pictures we saw were completely inaccurate. And we're not even the same rooms as advertised. Everything was damaged, dirty or just missing. Everything smelled like cigarettes. Cigarettes burns on everything. Comforters were dirty or ripped or stained. Along with the sheets- several had very large yellow stains on them. The towel rack in the bathroom was completely rusted out. So many holes in the walls. Some were patched but so poorly. The deadbolt did not work. The air conditioner did not work. The windows opened but they had no screens. The TV was just a TV no cable. The kitchenette was disgusting. Completely rusted out but the knobs were gone so we couldn't even use it if we wanted. Stickers, tape, dirt, nail polish, cracks, scratches all over the place on everything. The carpet was fowl. So many rips and tears and just disgusting everywhere. It has clearly never been shampooed and at this point needs to be completely replaced. I feel like it could have been a nice place at one time and they have no idea how to take care of the place anymore. It's in a good location and the staff was nice but it was a horrible stay.

This place is Absolutely HORRIBLE! Went for my kids Navy graduation so it was only an overnight stay. People were arguing all night next door and the bathroom was so disgusting that we didn't want to take a shower. Tried to change rooms but the nasty couple that run the hotel/motel said they were sold out. Not due to tourists but because of the people that literally live there. Cleaning lady walked into my room without knocking. And my phone in the room didn't work to call down to the front desk to complain! Everything was a NIGHTMARE! Please don't waste your money! No stars deserved but I had to give them one just to post this!

After reading not so good mixed (and old) reviews, I decided to stay at this place anyhow, because it actually had three queen beds in a room, which was exactly what we needed so that everyone had their own bed and none had to sleep on a "rollaway". I will say, the room was CLEAN, it was basic, but had all the necessities. The toilet and shower were separate from the vanity (which I love), so no one had to "wait for the bathroom" to finish getting ready. I constantly saw a woman cleaning rooms, and they were doing some work to the concrete outside. We had a second floor, but there was an elevator and that was fine. I will commend the owner - my ex woke in a diabetic reaction and though they only had a drink vending machine, he gave me some candy and things to help. I am glad I took the old reviews with a grain of salt. The staff were all friendly and helpful and there was nothing wrong at all with our clean room. The beds were very comfy also.

Poor service, dirty rooms diet and dust build up all over the room. Spider webs hanging from the ceiling. Needed extra pillows was only given one. Had to make a trip to the store for cleaning supplies to make the room liveable. Cleaning service was poor. Bathroom was never ever cleaned. We used cleaning supplies we purchased. Towels were few and dingy and stained. Sheets on beds were never changed for the 6 days and nights we stayed there. We bought our own covers and pillows after disinfecting the bed and pillows there.

This hotel was not great but we weren't expecting much. We just needed a cheap place to stay that could accommodate 5 of us and this was the only one. We were only sleeping there for the night so we weren't looking for anything spectacular. We are used to staying in better places though so it was very much not like we were used to. Bathroom had an odor. TV channels that my kids would have liked were all in Spanish for some dumb reason. No English options for those channels. Coffee tasted like water. The windows all opened!! I couldn't believe it! Even the second story windows. They opened just easily and there were no screens. Very dangerous! I can't even believe they are allowed to have the windows that way. It definitely is not as its name implies "Executive Inn & Suites".

Bad service and rude worker!!! Totally would not recommend this hotel at all! We got a 3 queen beds in 1 room. 1st thing: It was a non smoking room but all of the blankets had cigarette holes. First night when we got here, the toilet wasn't working properly. We inform desk worker, he said he will have his maintenance come and look. Waiting 1/2 hr, no one showed up. I went back and ask if anyone is coming to look at the toilet. The worker said his maintenance is on his way but he will personally come and look at it. He came and plunged the toilet and got it to work properly. We were gone all day the next day. We didn't get back to the hotel til late. The toilet again wasn't flushing right and it was going to flood the bathroom. Made a call to the front desk. A younger guy came and asked me to flush the toilet, so I did so that he can see what was going on. He said that we was going to go and get me a plunger and I plunge the toilet. My politely said I wasn't going to plunge it cause it's not me job. I paid for the room and service. He replied and said he didn't know how to use a plunger. He said he can get us a different room to use the bathroom only but not the whole room. I said " it's not my job to plunge the toilet, second of all, We are not going to walk down the hall at the middle of the night to use another bathroom in a different room. We asked for a different room with a working toilet if he can't get this one to work. He replied that he can't do that and that all he can do is let us use another bathroom from another room. Then I said we would like a refund or a different room. He left for about 10 mins later, he came back with a plunger and got the toilet to work again. Really bad service. We will never come back to this hotel again. Rude service. If you don't know how to use a plunger and you work at a hotel, go to a plunging class!!!

This place is disgusting. I checked in and paid in full before I was even given a key. Walked into our room and sheets and comforter had stains. It also looked like there was pizza sauce and crumbs all over the sheets. I was going to stay 2 nights and ended up being charged for both nights and didn't even stay a single night. Don't waste your time and money at this place. I had reservations for another trip in July and have cancelled my reservation at this place

The beds had hair and burn holes, stains all over the mattresses, I wouldn't have used the microwave for any reason (it was disgusting ) nothing was clean. We were in there for 5 minutes before we walked out. Absolutely disgusted!
