Took a new job out here in Mojave and needed a hotel room for the week. Interviewed EVERY hotel in Mojave to see about pricing/rooms/safe location. Rule #1, DO NOT GET A HOTEL ROOM along the train tracks! Trains run at all hours of the night and will keep you up! This hotel is 3 blocks from the train tracks and the sound is manageable. Rooms are 90s construction, and good for the price. Other hotels out here look like a warzone. Staff here are extremely friendly!!! And also, lots of light in parking lot to ensure safety at night + cameras. Have to be careful because a lot of undesirables come out at night to do crime. Would recommend this hotel as the best for the price in the area, and away from the train tracks.
The room I was in had definitely lived a hard life. Blanket on one of the beds had a cigarette burn hole right front and center and the mattress may have existed during the Reagan administration. Missing drywall on a partition between the bathroom sink and the fridge. Hot water was just north of warm and water pressure in the shower was marginal. Towels may be used to in place of #60 sand paper. The TV did work and you could tell there was an attempt to keep the room clean otherwise. Heater worked well. The needs are more maintenance than housekeeping. The guy at the desk was friendly and the price would be low if things were in better condition, but as - is they shouldn't be asking more than $40.
Booked this place based on online reviews but very disappointed. The hygiene standards were below the par, with noticeable hair in the bathroom and sink areas. Additionally, some amenities like the telephone were not functioning properly. Disgusting experience with stinky towels, dirty sheets, totally not worth it. Didn't provide basic services like wifi password details. Wouldn't recommend this place even for a night.
I've stayed here before and the rooms are quite nice. The only problem I had was the lady at the front office. Man, does she need an attitude adjustment. Really grumpy. Tried to make small talk with her and it was hopeless! Quite rude in my book! The office stunk too!! She looked to be from India of some place like that? She needs to be a bit more friendly. Think all she wanted was the money for the room.
I have stayed here a couple times now and because of work I have stayed at pretty much every hotel in Mojave as well, so I think I have a pretty good feel of the area. Hands down this is the best value and stay I have experienced in this city. Room felt clean and bed was pretty good. Bathroom was clean as well as the shower. I don't know about the wifi, I haven't needed it but the station lineup for television was top notch with pretty much everything you would want. The property is well taken care of and it's obvious the owners take pride in their business.
Broken table in room. Broken chair in room. Lock in original room was broken. Extremely rude customer service. When I asked to be in a different room, she insisted that it was my fault the lock was broken. Website says per friendly. Not pet friendly at all.
I was pleased that the surfaces in the room were all easily disinfected, with the exception of the bed and one chair--no carpet, which was nice, too. Room well arranged, all in good working order. Will definitely stay there again.
Staff team are very friendly, the place outside looks good and safe, the first impression of the bedroom is good and clean, but after in a closer look we realized that the cover and the mattress sheet was dirty =/, but ok, so we went to take a shower and rest and one of the towels was with a big hole!! So ok we used only that was ok. In the morning we thought to drink a coffee and we realized a lot of hairs as you can see in the pictures! Owners you looks like good people, but please put more attention in this details, you hotel have a big potential, a pack of new towels in costco business have a good price, sheets too.
