Stopped at the Welcome center and looked at hotel coupon books. I was driving a couple to Florida and since they were paying, they picked the hotel. That is the only reason I spent the entire night there.|||| I was greeted by a roach crawling from under the microwave. I didn't see a safe place to set my bag down so inspected the clothes hanging rack, and hung my suitcase from it. As I looked around I decided that the carpet was too gross to take my shoes off. This place looked like an old abandoned hotel on the inside. My smoke alarm was a gaping hole in the wall with wires hanging out, the faucets were all corroded and one was missing part of it, The drains were so gross and bathtub was open like something could come crawling out at any moment. Part of the doorway was greatly rotted away. After driving all day I thought I would chance a shower so I grabbed the dish towel sized bath towel and figured i'd make it quick. I turned on the faucet and waited a long time and the water was still cold so thought maybe they had faucets switched, but the other side ran even colder. So no shower, probably just as well. ||Pulled off the bedspread and put it on the other bed, then lay on the sheets and covered up with a throw that I take with me when I travel. ||||Walls are so thin and the doors go right to the outside and not very tightly. There were people walking around in the parking lot pretty much all night. I could hear trucks zooming by and using their jake brakes so loud I thought they were coming through the door, several sirens, and too many trains. Couldn't wait for morning to get out of there. ||||The next morning the couple that I was traveling with asked me if I had any visitors, meaning the roaches, and said they also had an earwig in their tub. Makes me shudder just remembering the experience. I will post pictures of the missing smoke alarm, the doorway to the bathroom, and the bathtub drain.

Terrible! No remote was in the room at first owner didn't believe us. Then there was no toilet paper and a used bar of soap in the bathroom. Later on discovered bed bugs crawling on us not worth the $ at all

This place is a dump. Over night guests should be paid to stay here.||The quality of the room and it's contents were well past their prime. The pictures on their Web site are about 20 years old. We had mold under the bath mat and around the tub. The towels most people would use for rags as frayed, dingy and thin, no plate cover on an electrical outlet, bathroom sink faucet broken, sink would not drain properly and main door had closing issues. Breakfast was a joke...supposed to be from 6:30-9:30, however owner overslept and opened after 7. As we sat and watched her get breakfast items out, she used her bare hands to put out the bread and frozen waffles. She took apples out of a plastic bag from the store and never washed them. No tongs or utensils. Sick and disgusting. Got up and left promptly. They need a heath inspection.

The whole placed had been remodeled since the new owners arrived. They have replaced the tvs with new ones and replaced the carpets with wood floors. They have painted the place and repaired any problems in the room. They even replaced the pool with a garden instead. There is no smell and the furniture is not broken at all. There aren't any ants or any mold of any kind. I have stayed there for years and I haven't seen any problems. They replaced the lights with LED lights. This place has really changed for the good.

A. C. Worked really good! The room was huge. Nice king size bed. Fairly new microwave and mini fridge.love seat had a hide-a-bed. Also had a small table for eating on. Tub had no stopper.. Hot water leaked from handle and hot water wasn't hot like I expected. The sheets were nasty.. Had to ask for clean ones and eeww we seen live roaches. Nice flat screen TV mounted on the wall and yay it also included a remote. All in all.. Not a bad place to spend the night.. Definitely need to get rid of the roaches and make sure to change the sheets.. If the sheets are that stained then get rid of them!!!

Hotel Looked great online, but looks can be deceiving. We needed somewhere to stay quickly and fairly cheap due to staying in Georgia another night that wasn't intended. ||This was one of the only places that still had availability, we should have slept in the car. From the moment we got there which was 11:28pm on Saturday night, it was the worst experience EVER. We parked at the office and tried to go in, the door was locked and it was 31 degrees outside. there was a little Plexiglas window with a fake door bell. We rang the doorbell multiple times before a woman stumbled sleepily out of a door way into the office, still in her pajama's. The lady got our information and fairly quickly got us checked in. She didn't give us any direction as to where the room was, just the room card and receipt and she turned around and headed back to bed I would guess. We found the room shortly after. There were three of us, my husband and I and my younger sister. As soon as we walked in a nasty musky smell hit us, it was god awful. One of the locks on the door was broken. The room was poorly lit, and there was some kind of light that had been wired up to the ceiling that looked like one of those LED light strips for your car. Since we had been going all day, I wanted to take a well needed shower. After getting into the very small bathroom I quickly realized there was no towels, ONLY small hand towels that were badly stained. My husband ran back down to the office where he had to bang on the Plexiglas window for a solid 4 minutes before the lady appeared again.||After he told her he needed three towels she escorted him to a small stock room type thing on the first floor. She then proceeded to ask why we needed three towels, that she doesn't give extra's out. He advised there were three people in the room that needed to bathe. She said the room maximum was two and that we'd have to pay a fee. Mind you we had two full size beds and my sister is 16. After he told her to just charge the extra they went separate ways. That night was horrible, you could smell a horrible odor of cigarettes and the musky, wet dog smell. You could hear the people in the next room practically screaming. But the worst part was probably the phone in the room would randomly ring one time, I answered it multiple times up to 3 a.m. and no one was on the line. Finally I just unplugged it. The next morning we got up as early as we could and got out of there. The pool was completely filled with grass and overgrown weeds, there is no continental breakfast. My husband even asked just as a joke when we checked out. Nothing about this place should be considered safe, there was mold around the windows and probably other parts of the room. They did have new looking linoleum flooring and a flat screen mounted to the wall. All-in-All the experience was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at.

Room had a very strong musty smell, furniture was dirty and falling apart, lights in room did not work, bathtub was absolutely disgusting. Spoke with management and got us into another room, it was much better but still not as clean as expected. Would not recommend to anyone and definitely will not be staying again.

Barbecue restaurant

Classy, great decor, awesome service and excellent food. She had fish tacos and we both thought they were the best we've had to date from any restaurant. I had the chicken fried chicken and it was the same level of quality, flavor, and presentation.
