Evoke Destin Hotel - Hotel in Miramar Beach - 10861 US-98, USA

We booked this hotel through Booking, and Booking said the room had gulf view (it does not - actually the hotel has no view of the beach whatsoever, but that is not the hotel's fault but rather Booking's). We had a wonderful time in Destin, and our room was no different! The only downside was that the housekeeping was done daily, but they only made the bed and changed the towels/trash in the bathroom. I accidentally brought sand in with me and during our time we kept walking on sand on the floor and the bed. Otherwise, this hotel was wonderful and had super friendly staff!

I've never been at ANY hotel, no matter what the cost, that did not offer daily housekeeping service! Until this week. We stayed at the Evoke Destin in Miramar Beach and when we got there we were notified that if we wanted maid service we needed to let them know 24 hours in advance. So we told them on Monday that we wanted service. When we got back after a day out, the only service they had delivered was towels and trash removal! No made beds, no sweeping, no replenished toilet paper! Remember we are in Florida, at the beach, sand galore, but I had to ask for a broom and dustpan to sweep the sand out of the room, MYSELF! When I told the desk clerk that they had not swept she asked if I had EVERYTHING out of the room??? What?? I'd rented it for 5 days! Was I supposed to remove all my belongings so they could clean. The staff was nice, but the breakfast was only cold, grab and go types of things, good enough I guess! But really, no housekeeping? Whatever! I don't really recommend unless you don't mind walking all over a sandy-floored room and have to ask for clean towels everyday.

Never again. I could tell it was going to be bad as soon as we pulled in the parking lot. Every parking spot in the front of the hotel has signs saying "NO HOTEL PARKING. VEHICLES WILL BE TOWED". This is a 4 level hotel and doesn't have enough parking for 1 floor. We walked in and the 2 that were standing behind the counter never greeted us. We had to ask if we could check in. She over charged me for our room plus the $50.00 deposit. Our bed had stains on the sheets and 1 pillow case. I came down and asked if she could have the housekeeper to change out our bedding. She said she would send her right up. More than an hour went by and no one ever came up. We went ahead and went to the beach (which is far from being within walking distance) for a few hours and then went to a few shops. We were gone about 5 hours and then came back to get ready to go out for dinner. Upon walking up to our room door, I had the key card ready, but my wife stopped me because she noticed that our room door had been left open by the cleaning lady that changed our bedding. NONE of the doors coming from the outside lock like they claim. You can forget about breakfast. You get enough towels for 1 shower and then have to ask for more. If you're taking a shower and someone flushes a toilet in another room, the water comes to a drip. Landscaping looked like it hadn't been touched in years. Rodent traps at all of the doors. And you're right by the sewer treatment plant.There is absolutely nothing good about this hotel. I would bet all of the GREAT reviews on here are by the staff or employees of IHG.

1) Location is amazing , lots of restaurants and amenities around it. Close to the beach, shopping outlet and lots more! 2) Parking is easy but the location of the hotel is behind the service parking of restaurants so the environment is not neat. 3) Staff is friendly and service was good. 4) Breakfast is very very very limited so do not expect to have breakfast there! Nothing much very basic and the coffee was terrible! 5) The lobby is renovated, but the elevators need renovation. 6) All side exit doors can be entered easily without access cards. So security is bad! 7) Rooms are renovated but small. 8) Bedsheets and towels were ok. 9) AC unit was very LOUD and annoying. 10) Hotel seems is still being renovated while we were there, some ceilings were dripping water. 11) Pool was ok , but very small !

Don’t expect much from this place. I stay in hotels all over the southeast United States and this is one of the worst. I’ll start outside in the parking lot. It is super small and tight. I’m a contractor and drive a truck. No trailer just a truck. I know this one doesn’t apply to everyone, but it does me. They only have one, possibly two diamond elite spots and they are in the worst locations. They really are unusable to normal drivers, due to the stores across the 20 feet wide parking lot parking on the side of the building. The “NO Hotel Parking” photos are where everyone at the other businesses park. They don’t offer breakfast. Well they do, but it’s only a few bagels, frozen waffles, and some cold biscuits. Bring your own body wash and hair products. The stuff they have is terrible. Doesn’t smell good and drys your skin out. We have also been here for 3 nights so far and haven’t gotten a refill of the 2 small bottles. Yall know that’s not gonna last. And finally, not that big of a deal, but to some it might. They don’t have a good selection of things in the front desk store.

I had a great 5 night stay at the Evoke. My suite was very clean when I checked in and all of the sheets and towels were very clean. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The staff were very nice and helpful. I would stay there again. They have a small pool out back and plenty of parking in the back as well.

CATFISHED!!!!!! From the pics and price ($286 a night) I’m thinking this is gonna be a great spot Welp that was a lie Location: Behind a strip mall with no parking… I was so scared of leaving my car because they have so many tow away signs. Exterior appearance: Trashy look like they painted an old motel and did some interior renovations The landscaping was dirt weeds empty bottles beer bottle tops Interior: elevator tried to update but I think they use school glue for the panels. Hallways are hot and humid. Room was ok but I expected so much more judging by the pics but once I got there I knew better my beds had hair and look like black heads so I went out and purchased cleaning products and my own blankets. The air conditioned leaked so water was on the floor bathroom mirror that was suppose to light up didn’t come on at all. Best thing was food was close by!!!!! Breakfast is not what u think it’s grab and go

Cleanliness: Hotel seemed clean, room was clean Breakfast: Virtually non-existent. All they had were bagels, croissants, mini muffins (when they were restocked), terrible premade waffles, cereal, apples, and yogurt. Proximity to the beach: beach is within walking distance, but be prepared for a 15-20min hike to public beach access. Some of which is not on sidewalk. Airport shuttle: NONE Room: AC worked in our room, but 4th floor AC was out so it was like walking into a sauna from your room to the elevator. Ice Machine on fourth floor did not work either. Staff: Nice and polite and was helpful. Restaurants : There are plenty of options for food around. If you like Sushi, take a few steps out the front door to Outcast Sushi for some Delicious food! Within a 5 minute walk you can get to Taco Bell, what a burger, some decent fine dining, 5 guys, Grocery: Win Dixie is probably about a 8 minute walk through parking lots
