The hotel prices skyrocket when the Knoxville nationals happen. We decided to try this hotel instead of the well known chain across the street. We were worried because the price was half of what the other hotel is charging. Definitely worth it. Of course the place could be updated, but was very clean! Will definitely go back next year!
I stayed here last year and enjoyed all of the hotel. Location, price, cleanliness, staff etc. this year… not so much. Staff.. manager and Shannon, friendly, room clean, bed comfortable. Pool area and pool dirty. Breakfast slim pickings, food ran out, eggs, biscuits, no butter or low or out of coffee. Many had issues with that. No smiles or good mornings from staff Last concern… Friday night my friend and I were the only people in the pool until closing time. Due to no elevator, we chose to leave our cooler, snacks and drinks in the pool area until morning. Again, no elevator and we we’re taking it to the festival. Saturday morning early, 7am I went to put the cooler in the car, it had been moved to the front desk.. understandably so. The issue, 2 bottles of wine we’re missing from the cooler that we didn’t notice until were went for them later in the afternoon at the event. When we checked out today the staff seemed flustered, maybe short handed? But when I mentioned the missing bottles, without any accusations towards staff, the vague expression and lack of concern or even willing to address it was nothing! In fact I even mentioned wondering if the bottles would be found in someone’s room No response! Not cheap bottles they were 20.00 each. Last, I understand the cost of everything is going up, but I don’t feel this hotel is 200.00 a night. This year it just didn’t meet the standards.
The gal (Tandee) was fantastic. Very personable and even loving towards my dog. The room was clean. There were definatly a few things that need updatng / maintained. Breakfast was above normal for what I normally see at hotels. The north door had to be propped open as the mechanism was broke so it wouldn't open from the outside. This door was also located directly under an AC that was dripping onto you when you went in or out. The phones in the entire hotel were down and they have been for quite a bit from my understanding. The pool was like a sauna, I understand it being humid but there was no AC in there, back door wide open, and nearly 90 degrees outside. This made the pool feel more like a tepid bath and not at all pleasant. I rate Tandee 5/5, she was great. My overall rating would be 3.5/5
Had mold in the ceiling in the bathroom as well as a mold smell in the room. I reported the issue to the front desk. They did not apologize or offer to move us to another room. All they did was thank me for reporting the issue to them.
What a great location!!! Wonderful church close by everything you need in a room. Breakfast was great and prepared by a wonderful man named Randy who helped me with a whole bunch of things. Randy needs a commendation. Thanks for my great stay!
Spent more thinking we would get a better room but this place is in desperate need of repairs. We were in town for a funeral and just didn't want to deal with it or we would have certainly gone elsewhere. Upon check out I brought up these issues and Shannon was very gracious and credited back one night. So even though I can't recommend this hotel I can say the staff was concerned with making things right. Thank you Shannon. Good customer service.
I didn’t get any sleep after hosting a show at the bar down the street, I got to my hotel at 3/4 am and planned to get some sleep but the bed was moist, the toilet didn’t have a handle either to flush the toilet had to take the top off the tank!!! I was exhausted I came from 3 hrs away and I had to drive home because they wouldn’t comp me a room or even a few hours to sleep I don’t the lady “I’m gonna have to sleep in the car” she looked at me and giggles “hehe yeahhhh” smh 🤦🏻♂️ NEVER returning….
Definitely would recommend this place to stay if in the area this is a nice place to stay. Management is doing a great job making the necessary improvements and great hospitality. Very comfortable beds and pillows with quality bedding. They have a nice pool and hot tub (which I did not use this time.
This is a MUST STOP every time we're in Oskaloosa!! We stock up on cherry nuggets, frosted molasses cookies, almond macaroons, and dutch letters. They also have little place to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of milk with your tasty treat
We're visiting here from Milwaukee. We ran across this restaurant on a Google search and tried it out. The food is really good! We ordered the sesame chicken with crab ragoon, egg rolls and egg drop soup, and papaya Boba tea and strawberry bonds Boba
I work in this area from time to time and always make it a point to stop by this great spot. Cool atmosphere friendly staff! Wide variety of beers on tap. They had a private party going on earlier and owner made it a point to make sure I had somet
2-parter - Campground and Lake Keomah itself. Camped in the tent on an electric site. They also have non electric. The campground was pretty level, lots of space on our site (#16 in the corner). Fire ring with grates & picnic table included on all si
Edmondson Park is one of my favorite parks for many years! Though it is roughly 20 years old it's larger, more intricate, and diverse than almost any other playground our family has visited! If you're a fan of lava tag (tag where you can't touch the
