Evergreen Inn - Motel in Leavenworth - 1117 Front St, USA

We stayed at the Evergreen Inn on a last minute weekend trip to Leavenworth. While it won't be mistaken for a luxury resort, the Inn was clean, quiet, comfortable, and well-equipped. The pictures on the website are a very good reflection of the rooms. We'd be glad to stay again.

My stay was 1/24/24. I called and left a message I would be a late arrival. After a couple u-turns I found the street sign directing to the Inn. The path was downhill through trees and came out directly across from what I thought was the building. It looked just like the picture on the website. I did not expect a return call but when I arrived there was no sign of an office entrance. I got out and knocked on a door that was closest to the drive entrance. Lights were on but no answer. There was a person who got out of a vehicle in the parking lot across the street. Turned out he was the maintenance person and I think he was waiting for me. He asked if the room code was in my email. I did not realize it was a self check in and found the email in my junk folder but no code was included. He got the access code and guided me to the building. Good thing I had 4WD to drive back up the path. It was a bit steep and covered with snow. The room was in a building above an insurance businesses across the street and facing the main street in town. I would have never found it without help. He had a flashlight which was necessary to see the door access-code pad since the hallway was extremely dark. I sincerely appreciate his assistance. The window in the room was right next to the outside stairs and the blinds did not completely provide privacy. I had to place a couple shirts along the window sill to close the gaps. The beds were metal frames that squeaked with every move. The room and bath area were clean. I choose the least expensive place I could find.

Nice rooms hosted a quiet retreat to rest and recharge. Breathtaking views and each room includes it's own balcony area to enjoy your coffee in the morning and wind down for the evening. Rooms are clean with very comfortable beds, fluffy pillows all the typical amenities visitors expect. Will absolutely book with them next time

The view outside of the room was beautiful, the rooms were clean and the beds are very comfortable. It's far enough away from downtown and the shops that it is still peaceful, but close enough to walk. I will definitely be staying again!

Check in did not go smoothly as I didn't realize it was a self check in. I saw that I was supposed to receive an email but it was not there at first. I had to check the junk folder to find the check-in procedure. Parking was also difficult as I wasn't sure if I could park in front of the building. I had to double check as it was not clear and the check-in referred to the spaces as "stalls". It was also hard to find the inn as it is on top of a few offices. Google leads you to wanderlust while the email has the correct address, making it difficult to find the inn at first.The rooms are not very comfortable and it does not feel like a hotel. One of the beds was right next to the sink, which made the room awkward. The blinds didn't really do their job, as the light from outside traffic during the night still came into the room. The door had a crack in it and looked as though someone had tried to break in. I would recommend staying somewhere else in leavenworth as this hotel was not worth the price it was. The only plus was that the hotel was a 4 minute walk from the main plaza in leavensworth.

This was “okay”. The photos do not match the rooms whatsoever. Check in process also was not clear at all. Don’t bother trying to call as nobody answers the phone. Had to text the after hours number for toilet paper as they do not supply any in the room and you have to go get it from the supply closet yourself. Rooms do not have a view. Check out process was also unclear. Wouldn’t stay here again but not a bad option if you need a place to crash for an evening.

I booked a room on line. It stated rate was $179. I knew I would be paying tax but imagine my surprise when I was charged $30 for cleaning. Totally dishonest...rate should be listed at $209. We arrived in the dark literally! No lights on stairs or outside the room. The Welcome Info in the room said checkout was at 10AM and if we were not out by 10, housekeeping would come knocking on our door. Also if our car was left in parking lot by noon it would be towed. There was no place to hang clothes or coats, and the Keurig coffee pot had no coffee pods. Obviously they didn't want their quests drinking coffee and staying past checkout. Evidently they are not interested in repeat customers!

I meant to post a review after my stay in August 2021, but realized I must have forgotten as I have started preparing for another trip to Leavenworth this spring. I will never stay at this motel again after my experience in 2021. The room initially appeared clean, but there were some issues that made my stay here with my husband unpleasant. First, the bathroom had a terrible smell all four days we were there. We ran the fan for hours hoping it would clear out the unidentifiable stench, but the smell never went away. The beds were incredibly sunken in the middle. The TV was incredibly small and was mounted really high up on the wall so that it was unpleasant to watch at that angle. A previous guest had wiped boogers on the side of the night stand (EW!). When I tried to call the office (which is located at The Wanderlust), the office was already closed. I left a message and no one ever called me back. As we plan our next trip this year, we will be staying elsewhere.
