I used to work here and love coming by to see how things have changed. I still dream of those grilled cheeses, never had anything better, especially the Tuna and turkey meltdown if it’s still there. I can tell you for fact that the owners love their business and are always committed to providing a great experience and they employ people of the same mindset. There is no reason to not at the very least try this place once.
Gluten free grilled cheese! Adult versions!! Absolutely delicious! White or 7-grain bread! Soup sides! Variety of beverages and chips! Small space, but we made it work!! We will be back!
Very cheesy experience! This is a great place to enjoy a delicious sandwich with grilled cheese in Naperville. They have the best Mac and Cheese in town! We also recommend the turkey meltdown and the sloppy Jhon. Friendly atmosphere with good music!
Everdine's is GREAT - HUGE bang/buck ratio for lunch. You may think "a grilled cheese RESTAURANT!?" - but you'll be surprised to see a huge variety of different kinds of imaginative and DELICIOUS sandwiches. For instance, I got the Maui, which had ham, havarti, and grilled pineapple on Texas toast along with a dipping sauce - INCREDIBLE. And their soups are fantastic too - I got a cup of the tomato to go with my sandwich, and it was excellent. I actually got their half n half special, for around $10 - the best lunch bargain in town, when you factor in flavor (and the fact that everything is handmade, on the spot). 3 for "atmosphere" is simply because it's a low-key diner-type vibe - clean and simple, rather than Naperville-fancy - but wow the food was fantastic and the service fast and friendly. EAT THERE - you won't be disappointed!!!
My brother treated me and my boyfriend out to lunch and here is where he took us. It was quite an experience. They had a variety of grilled cheese, soup, and drinks that I noticed. My brother and I got the grilled mac and cheese, it was delicious. My boyfriend got the the 81 caprice classic and i tried it too, it was yummy. Even though they have young people working there, they showed really good customer service skills. They welcomed us in when the door bell went off and when we walked over to the counter, they let us know they can help whenever we’re ready. The young gentleman who rang us out was very friendly and sweet. Sadly I didn’t catch his name. Overall it was a great experience and will be back to try more of the menu! Maybe a soup next time!
Wow can't say enough about the folks at Everdine's...called them on a busy night after a Door Dash driver brought a different customer's order to our house, and their (Door Dash) customer service left much to be desired. Kelly at Everdine's answered and got to work immediately on not only resolving the issue with Door Dash and getting us a full refund, but took the time to personally drive the correct order to our house as the restaurant was closing and we couldn't get there in time to swap out our order. Customer service was above and beyond all expectations, and our sandwiches were delicious! My wife is gluten-free so being able to get an artisan sandwich hot and made to order is a real treat for her, and Everdine's definitely didn't disappoint. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food at a fair price and values exceptional customer service!
I absolutely love this place! I come here at least once every two weeks and I will never get tired of this place. Just a warning to all: most of the things here have cheese in it, but to those that love grilled cheese and mac and cheese will absolutely love this place. Besides the food, which is always amazing, the service is always great. I always enjoy interacting with the workers and they’re also kind, polite, and helpful. I would totally recommend anybody to come give Everdines a try! Absolutely love them!!
Walked in expecting to order a plain grilled cheese, but was pleasantly surprised by the variety of grilled cheese options. Different toppings and soups available. I ordered a Sloppy Joan and and it hit the spot. Staff was nice and patient as well. The tomato soup was a bit bland. The sandwich was grilled perfectly, the bread was soft, the sloppy Joe had just the right amount of sauce.
