On our last stop through Portland we didn’t get to try this place out.
After our dinner last night I’m blown away at the level of quality, creativity and overall atmosphere of this spot.
My boyfriend and I shared the Scallop waffle, the lobster roll, the squash soup, the clam chowder and a dozen oysters.
The oysters were fresh and the horseradish ice really elevated that experience.
Star of the show was also that scallop waffle, elevated and I’ve never had anything like that before.
Service was warm and comfortable and we will definitely be back.
Stopped in for lunch and was fortunate enough to be seated shortly after arriving.
We had oysters, lobster rolls and the ice cream sandwich. The oysters were incredible and combined with the ice cream sandwich, one of the best things we ate in town.
Unfortunately, the lobster rolls were in my opinion, overpriced for what you get. I will say their butter presentation provides it with good flavor but mine barely had any lobster so the one that did is what was photographed.
Would stick to oysters and dessert on my next visit.
So worth it to include the Eventide Oyster Company into your Portland Maine trip. If you're not sure and are a fan of seafood, it's definitely worth it. First thing is first though! Reservations! Have a reservation ready and do so weeks in advance because this place gets packed! There is almost always a line to get in and props to the staff for managing the crowds and getting tables going smooth to keep up with the traffic of people stopping by to check out this spot. The waiter answered all of our questions and gave suggestions on what items to try which was much appreciated. My favorite was the lobster roll and clam chowder. Those are must haves! Maine lobster is an amazing mouth-watering experience. :)
Everything is so so delicious, we come to Portland about every couple years or so. We always make a point to go there for at least 2 meals each time. The line can be crazy, we were there at 10:45 and by 11:09 all the tables were taken. It will become 30 to 40 minutes wait. We were told 3 to 4 PM is the time to come but there are times wait can be 2 to 3 hours long. Trust me it is worth it. The next day we came again at 10:30, we were already the 2nd group in line.
The brown butter lobster rolls are to die for! We love it so much, the only thing that would be better would be served in toasted butter rolls like Luke's. Clam Chowder with salted pork is so unique and so tasty I think might be the best I have had. They have the best varieties of oysters in town, other oyster places now only do rotations of oysters so you cannot do 2 of each kind like in Eventide.
It's worth the wait..
Everything was great. It rained, so they were operating without outside seating. Needless to say, the wait was on the long side, so we grabbed drinks down the street. Once we got in and seated, the service was incredible - what a great staff. The atmosphere was great with nice decor. The food was spot on.. the lobster roll was one of the best ones we had on this trip. The fish sandwich was really good. The oysters rocked. The calm chowder was awesome. It was a long wait, but they told us upfront, and we went down the street and had drinks. Yes, it is worth a visit.
Went with high expectations, but sadly it did not live up to it. Took about an hour to get seated because of some confusion with the text messaging system. Most of the tables are set up against bars on hard stools with no backs. My wife tried a sampling of a dozen oysters and really liked the Ethos oysters. I ordered the brown buttered lobster roll, and was very disappointed. The lobster tasted good, but I do not like the steamed rolls and the portion size was extremely small. We also ordered some fish bites as an appetizer but they were severely over cooked and mostly better. We sent them back because they just did not taste good. My wife also ordered a fried oyster sandwich which she did enjoy. I am confident there must be better places in Portland to eat.
To be honest, I almost always give restaurants five star reviews, so this was out of character but I was honestly disappointed.
We were lucky to have been able to walk right up and get seated right away. It looks to be a small place with a usual wait time. The scallop waffle-yaki was our favorite thing that we ordered. It had a really good and unique Japanese seafood flavor that we’ve never had before. I recommend this for people to try. Only downside was that it was pretty small and left us wanting more. Next we had the lobster roll. The fluffy bread part was really delicious and the lobster was tasty as well. The kids fish bites were ok though. The breading was too much and wasn’t as tasty as the other food. My kid preferred the first two dishes as well. Although the dishes were solid, the price was a bit high for the portion size. Our server and everyone who worked there were very friendly.
we loved it here! the oysters are some of the best I’ve ever had and the brown butter lobster roll was almost too good to eat, we wanted to savor it for as long as we could, loved the tuna tartare as well! Can’t wait to come back <3
Super tiny shop in a converted shipping container but big on style. Sleek interior with a range of coffee beverages and a few pastries. They even featured a delightful kids (of all ages) drinkâ âmaple fluffyâ with steamed milk, maple syrup and

We got totally lucky that the TOTALLY AWESOME VEGAN FOOD TRUCK was set up right down the street from our hotel during our vacation. We came here twice for breakfast. The food is amazing. This is seriously such a neat food truck. I wish we took photos
Wow the best meal I've had in a long time!! Highly recommend the pea soup. The complimentary rye bread was also incredible. Got the goulash and squeezed some lemon, it was amazing.
9/30/23 - Visiting from VA was looking for Pho. When we came to order they said it wasn't in season yet and was nice enough to recommend another spot. I did go ahead and get a milk tea which was super good. I also loved the decor of the place. They s

Our stay at the Morrill Mansion has been excellent! There is a lot of charm and character in our room and having a parking space has been great. It is perfectly situated so you can walk to some great food options, and Portland in general has been eas
Walking distance to most downtown attractions, pubs, museums. Incredible breakfast! The Baxter room is a cozy fit but it has a balcony which would be so nice to enjoy during warmer months. The lounge downstairs is very comfortable and inviting. I was
A hidden gem and delightful surprise for all who find Nancyâs record-setting umbrella-cover collection. Her stories and music brought smiles to all of us and we will be back for more.
For my friends Bachelorette weekend we took a Pole class with Victoria. It was one of the most memorable workout classes I have ever attended. The whole group had an absolute blast and Victoria made us feel so welcome and made it so much fun! She als
