I think we got one of the just in case someone makes a reservation rooms this time. Half of the lamps in the room were falling apart, cracked shades, desks look like something had eaten the finish off of them, alarm clock stopped working due to lack of electricity in the middle of the night, curtains were in need of fixing. Lounge has not been open either time I've stayed here. Definitely not what we had last time we stayed here. Last time was very neat.
Stayed every 3 months in 2023 for hospital appointments. Location is great and convenient to Ruby memorial. We have stayed multiple times and every time there is NO HEAT in the room. I tell them and they always say the rooms are old and we are having problems and we're working on it. It must be scripted because it's always word for word. There are water stain on the curtains. Where does that come from? I think we've had our last stay there. We'll move on up to the Holiday Inn. Had to stay there once so I know that have heat.
Positive: The hotel staff was very friendly with check-in and check-out. The room was spacious, clean, and had plenty of amenities. Parking was onsite and free. Multiple restaurants within walking distance. Negative: Room was somewhat dated and could benefit from minor maintenance. The breakfast, while included, was very carbohydrate focused (waffle maker, bagels, muffins, cereal).
We had a group of 30 women for a sorority reunion! The staff was fantastic! The rooms were great! Breakfast was good and they allowed us to linger in the dining room and visit. The shuttle to the stadium was very helpful and convenient! Thank you to Liz for organizing and Steve for driving us in the rain! Highly recommend!
Extremely disappointed in the customer service here. My daughter (added my name to the reservation on Sunday) stayed two nights and extended the stay for me for one night and then I booked an additional night. She requested cleaning for me, but when I arrived near midnight the room had not been cleaned. I phoned the front desk to complain, but was told they clean every three days, I reminded them the hotel also indicated you could request cleaning, which she did and was told it would be done when she left and added my name to the reservation. I requested clean towels as I had stayed at Ruby Memorial the two previous nights and was exhausted. The front desk individual indicated it would be cleaned tomorrow. The next day I discovered my husband would be kept an additional night at Ruby and booked the room again with assurance it would be cleaned. When I returned around 11 pm not only had it not been cleaned the staff had flipped the cleaning request tab in the door to privacy. I made a request at the front desk for cleaning that morning before leaving for the hospital as I paid for the room in advance. I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone.
A family situation required us to find lodging quickly. We were blown away by the accomodating Front Desk personnel, Sarah C, who helped us stage four rooms together on short notice. The rooms were very clean & the bath area well supplied. The next day breakfast was quick, well supplied with many choices for everyone. Thank you Sarah for greeting us when we arrived and making sure we had everything we needed.
Really nice stay as we were passing through- great value for the price. The woman at the front desk was wonderful- I wish I’d asked her name so I could shout her out. Room was large and comfy (King Suite.)
The hotel lobby is extremely nice. The seating area for breakfast is very modern and clean; looks recently renovated. The only good option for breakfast is the waffle station - breads are stale and fruit is frozen in the morning so it's ice burned and soggy the longer you wait. There is a cereal station and oatmeal as well. That's all for food. The elevator is very roomy so there's not a lot of waiting, but it makes some concerning sounds. Once you leave the lobby, you're transported to a very old, smelly, outdated hotel. The hallways reek of old cigarette smell; they should consider updating the carpet. The rooms are clearly marked no smoking but it smells like old Las Vegas casinos. The carpet in the rooms are pretty badly stained. The upside is the mattresses were really great! Those seemed to be almost new in our room. I've stayed in so many hotels that offer at least ONE complimentary bottled water in the room; this had none. Water is sold for $3.50 each downstairs or you could just keep refilling a reusable cup from the breakfast room cooler. The front office lady was SUPER nice. She made sure to put me and my elderly father at the top floor away from the block of rooms of basketball players in town. Her ability to recognize that it would be noisy and we deserve rest was a really nice touch. We were there visiting family and had to babysit one evening and the size of the room made it easy to watch TV in the front room while grandpa napped in the room with the beds; the door separating the rooms is super helpful. Overall a good experience, just wish it the rooms felt cleaner.
