Ester Lee Motel - Motel in Lincoln City - 3803 SE Hwy 101, USA

Excellent value: the view is amazing. The interior is dated, but clean. Very clean. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is because there are no black out shades in the bedroom, so I had to get tin foil to put over the window, which meant I couldn't easily open the window during the day to catch the breeze, but other than that…I will definitely be coming here again with my roll of tinfoil! You do have to walk down a road to get to the beach, but the walk is beautiful, with a view all the way of the coast. Coming back is uphill, but I’m not exactly in the best shape and I found it doable.

It's older, but very clean. The views are magical. My mom took us here when I was young and now I bring my family. We always come back because it feels very homey and it's an easy location to get to everything. We also always feel welcome even with our dog. Staff are warm and friendly!

The views here were spectacular. The customer service was out of this world. This was the best stay I have had ever in Lincoln city. already planning another trip. I will only be staying at the Ester Lee when I am in Lincoln city. the room was nice and clean as well as comfortable. I do wish that all the windows were able to be opened but I also understand that its a safety issue. Will be back very very soon.

Very cute and a great place for a vacation to the beach. But the rooms could be taken care of better, like the windows were wonky and the wall could use a fresh coat of paint! But over all great place with amazing views! I do recommend it for anyone wanting a quick vacation to the beach, who don’t want to spend too much on a hotel room!

Saw the reviews and decided to chance it… big mistake! The place is simply gross; I have stayed in older hotels before, but it was obvious that they were well kept and clean. |Got to the room and the toilet was clogged up. Called the lobby and they sent their repair man. He worked on it for a while and then gave up. He said, “toilets are a bit slow here at the coast”. |After he left, we noticed it was getting slower by the flush, so went to the lobby and asked for a solution. Their answer was, “sorry, we’re fully booked and the plumber won’t be available until tomorrow”. |We shook our head and went on with our day.|Came back to the room after dinner and by then the toilet was not flushing, not even a drop! |Very irritated by then, decided to take a shower… yeah, good luck with that!! The hot water would go away every 40 seconds or so; I had to shut off the water completely and turn it back on… Yup, every 40 secs or so…|By then, taken by the irritation and disappointment, decided to book at a real hotel. |This place felt more like one night in jail. |Later on, talking to my wife, she said, “yeah, I did find some questionable curly hairs in the bed while you were trying to take a shower”… |Please do yourself a favor; avoid this horrible experience in a gross place with staff that clearly only care about taking a buck from you. |I wrote review on Expedia already about this place and the manager said that the toilets are slow and that the hair was probably from a pet… |Come on! I wasn’t born yesterday… that was no pet hair… and a slow toilet vs a non flushing toilet are two very different things. |By the way, since we ended up not spending the night at this gross place, I was hoping that they did the right thing and authorized Expedia to reimburse my money, but of course they didn’t! |No wonder why they’re going under, dishonest businesses don’t prosper. |After reading some of reviews seems like this place is under new management. Some of the older reviews seem decent, but the more recent ones are a hit and miss. |…Well, this was an embarrassment for me while attempting to have a fun relaxing night away with my wife.|I took some pictures of their “museum-like” light switches and their gross chewed up doors. |We like to support local business owners as much as possible… this one, clearly didn’t deserve our business… Doubt it deserves yours…

We love the Ester Lee and stay here as often as we can. ||I used to stay here with my parents many years ago. The hotel has continued to make investments in the rooms and they are very comfortable. ||The front desk staff are friendly and knowledgeable. ||The view is the most beautiful on the Northern Coast, and the rocks below make for wonderful surf sounds as you drift off to sleep with the windows open.||It's easy to get to the beach on the road leading down from the parking lot, and to our surprise there's a new stairway from the road to the beach, making it extremely easy to access the beach without having to climb over rocks.

The view from the room was phenomenal! The front desk staff was very informative and welcoming. The room was very clean and stocked with everything we needed for our stay. |The only complaint I have is that there is 1 small window in the corner that opens up towards the ocean, the remainder of the windows do not open. Could also use some updated mattresses, kind of lumpy but not so bad you can't get a restful sleep.

LOVE THIS PLACE! Stayed in a 1 bedroom suite on the end of the unit with a full kitchen. Great place to stay if you just want a clean and comfortable room without a bunch of bells and whistles. Reasonably priced and kitchen was well-stocked. View was fantastic as well. Oh, and the rooms have either a gas fire place or a real wood burning fire place. They also have dog-friendly cottages if you are traveling 4-legged friends. Only draw back during my stay is that there is no beach access due to a construction project on the road down. You have to drive to 35th street and access the beach there. Not really a big deal for me but might be a turn off for others.
