The view is great! They have a dog park and also a small playground. The people there were friendly. I joined a local disc golf club sometimes we throw discs out there. It should be a permanent spot there's so much more this park has to offer! I saw no homeless people so that is a super plus!
Fun Park for children. Plenty of grass and shade. Great climbing structures. Dog park nearby. There is a walking path that goes around the park and you can walk while the kids are in view.
park and bark park all in one place it's great. People were very polite and talkative all good things my favorite is the big dogs and little dogs are separated at the bark park.
There are separate small and large dog areas. The small dog area regulars are clique-y and tend to have a rather entitled attitude.
The views are spectacular. 😀
Unfortunately, the dog parks closed June 20th to the end of October (2023) for renovations.
It seems no one who signed off on the renovations had a clue what a dog park should be. The dogs' areas are pretty, but it was a showcase renovation, not one practical to needs.
Here it is, mid-December, and still, there are no water stations.
The picnic tables in both areas were placed right inside the gates - so if people want to make use of them, they must deal with the excitement of every dog that comes through the gates.
In the small dog area, they put a concrete walkway all the way around the peripheral interior:
• firstly, dogs from both sides love running up and down the inner fence with each other. This will lead to over-worn pads on their feet.
• secondly, this is high desert - the concrete will be too hot in the summer.
In the large dog area, not only is the picnic table by the gate, but the agility area is between the picnic table and the main grassy area. The agility area should have been located around 'the corner' to the left where there is no through traffic.
Again, It seems no one who signed off on the renovations had a clue what a dog park should be.
They were just showcase renovations, incredibly impractical.
As a member of my local dog park committee for nearly two years in my previous home of Sacramento, I simply can not recommend these parks.
Lovely small dog park with nice people. There is a big dog area too, we just happen to have small ones. The grass could be a bit better tended in winter, and lighting/more seating/some shade would be greatly appreciated. Still, very glad to have this venue available to the public in Yucca Valley!
A nice neighborhood park, with the bonus of a dog park. A smattering of play equipment for little kids and a pair of unisex bathrooms. Grass quality only OK, but this is the desert. Dog owners variable in keeping their pets out of the people area as posted, and then don't clean up the dog logs they leave behind...watch your step! Kids play equipment of good quality but limited shade, so can get quite hot during summer months. Some folks are parking challenged... or feel otherwise entitled to park outside of the numerous designated spaces. None of the cars pictured were operated by handicapped patrons.
May 2022 update
Dog part of park reasonably maintained. Some dog owners still let their pets run around the general play area, which is clearly posted for on-leash only... appropriate as kids play in the grass and picnic there. I love dogs, but they need to be properly restrained in public areas.
Cool park to relax and enjoy the day and air it's cool to bring dogs along with you..
Cute little park with some cool concrete features that don't get as hot in the heat of summer. Has a playground, dog park area, walking path, and I think frisbee golf?

I stopped here today (5/13/23) to let my Bichon poodle stretch her legs and go potty. It was beautiful. A nice breeze was blowing, snowy peaks in the distance, grass was green, the small trees provided shade, it felt safe, there was water, what mor
In the area for Joshua Tree and came across this perfect park. Ty for putting this here for us. We love having grass to play on, exercise on and rest on. The added bonus of exclusivity was also perfect. Good memories.
Great place for kids to explore and play. Benches to sit and observe if you need a rest. Plenty of grass to put down a blanket. Plenty of trees for shade.
We went to the final concert of the year and absolutely loved it. My only complaint is I didnât know about it sooner. Looking forward to going back in 2021.
Second time in the area. Just beautiful. Many trail options from the campground or the parking area. Plenty of maps posted. It's free as well if you are on a budget and still want the Joshua tree hiking experience. Google maps works while you are on
Breakfast was great. Pancakes are huge. Loved that they added a lot of gravy for the biscuits. I will come back again for breakfast when I'm in the area.
Every time I walk in this shop, I get greeted right away with a smile and they help in a timely manner. Never had a problem always a pleasant experience

I had my meal delivered and ordered the grilled chicken kabobs. I have no complaints about the food. I've never tried anything like this, so I have nothing to compare it to. But it's definitely good. That cucumber salad they serve with the kabobs is
