Essence Express, Wayne - Hotel in Wayne - 320 US-46, USA

I stayed at this hotel last weekend with family and we experienced the worst service ever. I do not recommend that anyone stays here, you will regret it. As soon as you walk into this hotel it overwhelmingly smells like cigarettes, and marijuana. When we walked into our room, we noticed that it was not cleaned properly. Our bathroom walls had tooth paste stains and our towels were dirty and stained. My cousin and I also got our wallets stolen from our room while we were gone, since this hotel lets just anyone walk in. We had to call the cops and file a police report. After speaking with police we were informed that this is not the first time this happens at this hotel. On top of this, they do not want to give us a refund and were not apologetic about the trauma we experienced!!

Should have check the reviews before booking , horrible hotel stay away. Lobby stinks cigarets and weed, very dirty everywhere , when we checked the room bathroom was full of mold and not cleaned properly. Requested a different room and it was just as bad…. Our friends that also booked a room they went into their room and stole their wallet made multiple fraudulent charges… the guy in the lobby was def involved… terrible Experience …. Stay away from this place ,,, it’s a dirty motel

Booked a room because the pictures and price were good. When I arrived they gave me my room and said to go around the corner and up the stairs. The metal stairs are decaying and moving. The hallway had a bad smell of weed and stale cigarettes. The lights were only half on. When entering the room we found dirty sheets, feet prints on the walls, cigarette ashes and butts all over the bathroom. They just left the room saying it was clean. They even had other rooms they were cleaning with windows open because of the smell. This was a 3 hour motel setting not a family hotel. Also people hovering inside and outside. Would not recommend..

Planned a weekend trip here to be close to the mall. When we got to the hotel we were upset to say the least. The location wreaked of weed. Checkin made us feel uneasy. Our rooms had stained sheets, dirty walls, rusted shower heads, etc. We thought as this was a newly renovated hotel (or so the sign stated) it would be in fair condition. It was disgusting. The ten minutes we were there, we were looking for another hotel. I highly recommend looking elsewhere. The highlight of leaving was seeing the police pull up as we left.

I literally ran out of drive time as i pulled in. The parking lot is dirty. Walked in and the front desk guy was nice. Got to my room and it was DIRTY. Sheets DIRTY. Table had crumbs DIRTY. Microwave had food in it DIRTY. Sink had spit/toothpaste residue DIRTY. Floors/walls DIRTY. I’m so pissed i can’t leave. Had the guy come look at it and requested another room. He was cool about it but the other room was a slight step up. I don’t even want to sleep on these sheets or shower due to the thought of what’s on here that i can’t see. It smells just like cigarettes in the halls and rooms and there’s loud music and singing coming from down the halls. I don’t know how this place has the stars that it has. Never again. Also if you do go here and are in a truck, do not bring a trailer and pay attention or you’ll miss it on the right.

just horrible lol, only been here for 15 minutes and already want to leave. pee streaks on the toilet, ripped up walls, room smells like cigarettes, hallways smell extremely strange, seems like there’s no breath of fresh air here, i usually don’t care abt where im staying @ but dawg this is insane🤣also one last thing, no outlets in the rooms? how the hell am i supposed to charge my phone😭lowkey yappin way 2 much but yall have a good day

Rooms was dirty and smell horrible, I ask to change the room , they change me the room 1 time I thought it will give me a better room but they give me the worse … the rooms don’t look like the pictures! I book for 2 days I ask for refund one day they said they’re are not allowed to do a refund…. Very disappointed …. Paid 110 per night which was very expensive for what I get , I will Never go back again …. I don’t recommend this place , my stay was horrible

Warning warning,!!I booked this hotel for 2 days when I seen online is nothing like seeing it in person my first room smelled like smoke I was removed to another room much smaller than what I had and from the time I got settled in the refrigerator was broke was spoiled food already left inside I had $40 worth of food and I had to sit it out overnight the floors was dirty when I got ready to settle in bed the sheets smell like smoke I was unable to sleep for the whole night I woke up with a walk to the restroom there was a maggot in my sink I complained to the front desk they seem to not have any care I checked out the morning to get my refund I was told that the supervisor was going to be here at 9:00 and I'm still waiting and it's going on 10:00 to get a refund this is bad business and I would never return here that night some white man tried to get into my door I do not feel safe here or comfortable I didn't sleep for a whole night morning do not come here. You've been warrant.
