Esplanade Suites, a Sundance Vacations Resort - Hotel in Wildwood - 230 E Taylor Ave, USA

Location can hardly be beat 2 blocks from boardwalk/beach. Older property that has been updated, still shows wear. Front desk helpful with items not in room. Note, we stayed in off-season.

We stayed at this location for a week. The location was outstanding, just a block and a half walk to the boardwalk/beach. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and matched the pictures. A few challenges that prevented me from giving it 5 stars - limited parking to a single vehicle. As Sundance members, this is the only location we’ve stayed at where parking was limited to 1 vehicle. In a 2-bedroom that sleeps 6, we had more than 1 vehicle and it required us to pay for additional parking. The most affordable lot was at the boardwalk for overnight parking. While the room sleeps 6, it doesn’t comfortably accommodate 6 people. There was one couch that could seat 3-4 people if everyone sat next to one another. The table in the kitchen had 4 stool and would only accommodate 2 people to comfortably sit and eat at the table. The room didn’t have sufficient cutlery and bowls for 6 people; it’s also the only Sundance location we’ve stayed at that didn’t have a dishwasher, so we had to wash dishes after every meal we ate there. We didn’t ask for more dishes, etc. I’m sure they would have provided if asked, but it stood out to meet that it wasn’t set up for the number of people that could sleep there. Since we were in the corner, we also didn’t have any outdoor area to sit by the room. It’s also the only Sundance location we’ve stayed at that didn’t have a private, outdoor area for each room. |Overall, the stay was good. I’d suggest confirming where your room is located and if you have multiple vehicles in your group, research parking options in advance. We didn’t expect it and had to do some last minute searching. Street parking for a whole week was very expensive and not always available by the hotel.

My husband and I stayed for a week at Esplanade Suites at Wildwood NJ. When we arrived, Anthony from the front office cheerfully greeted us and helped us carry our groceries up the two flights of stairs. We were missing several utensils and sheets but were supplied quickly once reported. My husband went out to use the grill on sight but did not know how to start it. Anthony came out quickly after noticing my husband's dilemma and kindly help to start the grill. The rooms are small and there is no elevator, but the service was superior and the Suite was only a block from the boardwalk! Thank you, Anthony, and those working help our stay pleasant!

Not what I would call a resort. No pool before Memorial Day. Rooms look tired and old. Broken window opener bar. Poor quality towels and sheets (replacements just as bad). Missing or nonfunctioning kitchen equipment. AC cover detached. The manager tried his best. He replaced the pan, gave us a spoon, some paper towel, a new working coffee pot, fixed the living room fan that would not turn off, provided a fitted sheet, and put out the grills so we could BBQ some chicken.

On the outside Esplanade Suites looks like a cookie cutter Jersey shore hotel. Walkway outside your door with 2 chairs and a side table in front of each room. However, this resort looks to differentiate themselves from the others. ||||We stayed in a recently renovated 1 bedroom suite. Everything was done as best as it could be given that shore hotels tend to be older structures. Sturdy comfortable furniture and nice appliances. The bed was very comfortable. TV in both the living and bedrooms. Overall, a nice looking room.||||The staff was amazing. They all work very hard to keep their clients happy and the property very clean. Any questions to the staff, they were not only willing but genuinely seemed delighted to be able to help! All areas of the property were cleaned daily. We never saw litter or dirt on anything during our stay.||||Nice Job Esplanade Suites!

Esplanade Suite is a small property a block from Wildwood Beach and Boardwalk. Check in was very easy. Our one bedroom unit has full kitchen and full bath. The boardwalk is very family oriented and the beach is wide and clean. There are many good restaurant close by. We had a great time.||Also I left my sapphire ring in the unit and the staff return it to me. Thank you very much!

Anthony and his staff were very kind and accommodating. Our room was perfect with a small kitchen and couch area - extremely clean. The location was ideal for restaurants and we were able to walk a lot of places. We will definitely be back and plan on recommending this place to others!

The room was nicely remodeled and a kitchenette. We had the room over the office 201. I liked being on the end. I liked how clean the room and property were. I could here the people above me. The pool was cleaned however a bit cloudy. They allow floats which takes up most of the pool. We decided not to use it. They charge for ice. They could absolutely provide ice trays for the fridge/freezer combo. The staff were very personable. I like the location, as it was a straight walk to boardwalk and beach access. Next to the Wildwood beach balls and convention center. I feel like $300+ nightly was a bit much for the property.
