Nice area to see wild lady’s slipper orchids. Board walk for part of the trail and then 2 short loops through the woods. Popular for bird watchers. Spent an hour here with my nature loving gardener girlfriends!!
A nature walk filled with breathtaking beauty. Not to mention the rare Lady Slipper flower! I visited during June when the Lady Slippers were vibrant pink. If you come during Spring, the yellow Lady Slippers are in bloom. Part of the road to get to Eshqua is gravel, and it is primarily narrow. Most people also don't have cell reception @ the top. So, if you're unfamiliar with the area and are using your phone for GPS, keep going straight up until you see it on your right. The parking lot is teeny, but you can park off-street. It’s an excellent option if you want to be immersed in nature but don't want to hike. It's also an easy walk and great for individuals of all skill levels since the main drag (where the Lady Slippers are) is a boardwalk. There are short trails after the boardwalk as well.
Very nice area and walk with a nice boardwalk. Take the road to the right when leaving and you will see all the ropes used in making sugar maple. It is very interesting to see the process
Beautiful, secluded, well-maintained trail. I went on a Wednesday morning in July and there was no one else there. It is a quick walk on the trail, and the boardwalk is handicapped accessible with a surplus of benches to rest. Lots of birds in the area. Dogs are not allowed. Be aware that if you are easily bothered by bugs, you may wish to bring an insect repellent.
Very interesting nature preserve dedicated to the lady slippers amd orchids that bloom in June. Beautiful to visit then, with a nice boardwalk through the bog and a pair of trails through the woods. Nice for a 30 - 60 minute visit. Access road is unpaved though, so it takes a little while to get there!
It is a very enjoyable experience if you take your time to look at all the plants and their name tags. Place is very well maintained as well.
A wonderful wetland full of rare plants and wildflowers, best seen in the late spring and early summer. I was there in the fall and you can see what the scene was - an unexpected snowfall! Still beautiful but no wildflowers. Great place to observe unusual plants, a very accessible boardwalk, good for kids and less mobile people, not a place to go on an epic long hike since it's a tiny wetland. But worth a visit! The road was pretty bad driving up in that snow and I imagine mud season is even worse. Visit from April-August for best results.
Beautiful place with many exotic orchids especially the pink lady slippers. Found one pitcher plant and another similar plant, called sundew, that eats bugs. Accessible with boardwalk. Highly recommend visiting this bog.

Super cute coffee shop with vinyl as well! We ordered a latte, hot chocolate, and a waffle, and each were delicious. The employees were very friendly and fast with our drinks. We also bought a bag of their freshly ground coffee, and there's something
This is a very small restaurant located in the major street, Central Street, of Woodstock. Itâs cozy and somehow laid-backâ-a typical Woodstock style. Delicious foods, friendly and warm service. Definitely worth to try. It has only 8 tables,
The food was absolutely delicious, especially the chocolate croissant. It was warm, flaky, and tasty. The breakfast burrito was also very good. The chipotle aioli was perfect with the fresh eggs. The hot chocolate also helped bite through the cold wi
