I am PCT hiker so was just looking for somewhere cheap that I could spend the night in a bed rather than on the ground in a tent. This place seemed fine after looking at the photos, I definitely wasn’t expecting much. But when I actually got here was incredibly disappointed. It was filthy. It looked like no one had cleaned the place in a few weeks. There was hair in the shower and sink, stains on the floor/walls/sofa, the TV remote had no batteries which turned out to not matter as the whole TV was broken anyway. Overall I would have felt cleaner staying in my tent than in this hotel. I highly recommend staying in Tehachapi and paying a little more rather than staying here.
When we arrived we couldn’t park near our room because a pickup truck had taken up two spaces and a group of men, who apparently were on a construction or road work job, were standing around near our door, drinking, smoking and talking loudly. Non-stop. I was afraid to leave the room. Management’s response was, oh , they’ll only be going for a few more hours. After a few hours he said they would be done soon. We put on the air conditioning and put in ear plugs so I don’t know when they stopped. At 2:30 am the truck’s car alarm went off and a guy in a hoodie ran away. The carpet and dirty couch in our room had cigarette burns and the bedding had hair in it. The floor was badly scraped. When we left, which we would have done sooner but were too tired to drive, the area by our door was littered with cigarette butts, candy wrappers and beer caps. The garbage can was filled with large bottles of corona. The area around the place is very run down and strange things were going on at the nearby liquor store.
It's a perfectly good cheap hotel. The rooms do have a smell, but it's not unpleasant. The employees I talked to were all really nice.
If I could give no stars I would. This place is a SCAM! They tried to charge me for something that another customer did to the room before me. And I reported it numerous times and even went to maintenance man about it and it’s like one day he understands English and another time later no speaking of English. No one never cleaned our rooms. All the customers that are living in the rooms received chemicals and brooms to clean our own rooms. We even made our own beds because the housekeepers refused to clean them. I will be reporting them to corporate and bbb also. Because the way they treat you because they see you are in a certain situation is crazy and sad. They take our money and then lie to keep our money to turn around and charge someone else for that same room. The owner was on the phone very aggressive and even tried to threaten police. And then they lied and said they refunded me my money so I could leave a room I paid $236.67 for today. But I will fight them and report them to the news, to the mayor, and anyone else that will listen. This is sad how you are being treated as if you are not going through something with my kids.
The advertising makes it out to be a good place for the price. But you get in the room and it all smells there’s stains everywhere I didn’t even sit down I felt so disgusted. The walls have things I can’t even describe on them. The light switches and outlets are disgusting. Do not stay there. I was in there for 5 minutes and went and got a refund after they kept trying to give me a different room and all of them were the same. Completely disgusting
Please check the official site. I get an error code 400 when trying to book. Also my partner tried on his phone and he also received the same error code.
Literally terrible. Non-smoking room that REEKED of smoke, dirty floors, half finished renovations, the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months, the toilet paper holder was half out of the wall, there’s holes where a towel rack had been moved from, hair on the counter with the clean towels. I will never stay here or at a sister facility ever.
