I just live down the road, and had no idea this fun little gem existed until today!. The little trains and track are nicely done and take you through some lovely scenery near the lake shore. The train club and conductors are all super friendly and informative. Highly recommend not only for kids but also for us "big" kids!
Pickleball courts are public courts and should not be reserved every day bye a private club. My tax dollars are paying for those courts and I can’t use them unless I’m a member or that club. That’s not right.
Just another nature trail but at least this one has better walking paths. Much nicer walking because of blacktop and gravel.
However if you get off the path you'll be in the brush with all the creepy crawlers. Snakes, ticks, and other things that bite.
Yes there are eagles and other birds in the area but it's all about timing to see any of them. It helps if you bring binoculars.
If you plan to walk off path, be sure to wear boots, long pants, and long sleeves to protect yourself from all the nature. 🦅🐀🐿🐜🐝🐞🕷🕸🐛🐌🐢🌿🦊 😄
If you just want a relaxing walk in nature this place is great. They keep the trails mowed and clear. They do at times get flooding so it best to bring a towel to cover car interior
As my experience as a naturalist, I was very impressed with the guide, knowledge and time devoted to the area...flora and fauna
Multiple trails through meadows, woods, and marsh. There are kayak launches, an observation deck, and a miniature railroad that is active at different times during the summer.
Had a great time here with awesome people. They have really cool trains that you can ride. They put a lot of time and love into this park.
