Love this place. Absolutely love the museum, the boat tour was fantastic. This museum is very educational and informative. It has a a movie theater about the war of 1812. Hands down the best. The staff was amazing and very educational.
We went to see U S Niagara. Don't miss this fabulous brig. Chuck gave us the tour. He was excellent, and being a historian made his presentation special
.
We both toured the boat and spent some time in the museum. The guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, and informative. The museum had a lot of different pictures and artifacts on display. There is also a portion included that is history and pieces from the power plant that used to be in the building. Interesting little stop.
Superb Staff compliment this great museum. Walk around at your own leisure or join a small group and use the guided tour . The staff are fantastic and the whole area is set up with meticulous care .Free parking off road . I recommend supporting this attraction .
Awesome maritime displays and great information. Really loves how the tour was laid out in the time line and gives you a great idea of what happened to the ships stationed in erie. Staff and volunteers were friendly and very knowledgeable. If you like military history this is definitely a great place to check out. Don't forget your AAA Card, we saved $6.
Great exhibit. Great tour. Great information. I learned so much about the City of Erie’s and our Country’s involvement in the War of 1812. Touring the Niagara was very cool. I appreciated still being able to go on as it as under repair. Our docent was well informed, funny, and considerate. So happy we visited here.
Visited over Easter weekend. We were fortunate enough that during our visit they were reassembling the Niagara for the summer. The museum, for it's small size packs in a lot. Has a rich display of things from the Anglo- American war and the swords used, uniforms etc. We also participated in the tour of the Niagara Brigg. Truly enjoyed our time here.
Overall I greatly enjoyed my visit to this museum... here's the highlights and my wish list: plenty of parking, low entrance fee, and the ship tour at the end are all plusses here. Would like to see more historical info, an updated video, and not some GE display in the entrance. Interactive displays are much needed here and would bump the review to a 5 star rating and more kid friendly. Erie has an Amazing History and I'm grateful for the day trip!
My sister and I came for the first time today and Juan, Kyle, & Caleb were all so helpful and patient! Very newcomer-friendly. & I sweated more than I usually do at the gym. Great group of people and great exercise!
We absolutely love what Lund has done for our son since he started. He has built a lot of confidence and has come out of his shell in such a short amount of time. They also pay close attention to each student and get to know everyone so well. We reco
