This is such a gem! I found myself here by happenstance, house-sitting for a friend. Mt. Ranier is a wonderful come upon as it is, but this restaurant truly surprised me! The staff is kind, warm, personable, and knowledgeable about food and wine. The other patrons clearly knew that; they were just as inviting! Brilliant conversation accompanied b y delicious food and wine. Please visit! (The crostini flight was delicious! I had two medium pours of wine and a crostini flight—wonderful treat!)
Very flavorful, fresh, and tasty brunch! We ordered the waffles, French toast, and steak & eggs. Nice portions, fluffy waffles and French toast. The steak was prepared perfectly! The drink selection is impeccable and top notch service. A nice gem in Mt. Rainier with great ambience. We will definitely be back!
We had a wonderful date night at Era Wine Bar. The atmosphere and decor are beautiful and elegant. The service was excellent. The food was delicious and the selection well chosen. A great business addition to the community. We'll be back.
My friend and I throughly enjoyed this place! We had a board, Parmesan fries, I had the lamb sliders and she had the burger. We also had the Swahili samosas. I tried two wines from Spain, a white and a red, can’t remember what they were called. I enjoyed them even though I am certainly not a wine connoisseur at all. Everything was delicious and the service was great as well. Definitely recommend!
I really enjoyed myself here. The staff is welcoming and the lighting is perfect. The service provided was amazing with people checking up contantly to make sure you were good. I also loved the ambiance and the warm atmosphere. Stop by when you can... you will love the place.
The perfect place for drinks and appetizers: Wonderful local place, with an amazingly eclectic wine list that changes constantly. The decor has mid-century modern vibes (even the bathrooms!), and the food is solid!
This chic wine bar was almost empty on this rainy & cold Saturday night we went. Not before long, we were followed in by the most diverse looking sets of people + the lilt of light Jamaican & jazz music adding to the overall lovely ambiance that makes up this place. The wine menu is diverse & daunting if you’re not a true connoisseur, but our (hunky) waiter, Symahge, helped us out & we both ended up with our wine palates satisfied. The food was beyond amazing & I wish I chose what my vegan partner did with his entree of trout. It had mushrooms, spinach nested in a spread of mashed avocado & outdid my mushroom, & onion burger in terms of its complexity in taste, with the fish tasting “superb, with the right balance of seasoning & the artichoke purée was delectable” The appetizer of shrimp had a sauce with a little kick, very light & refreshing nothing overwhelming & my partner had a bowlful olives that he said weren’t over salted & had the right mix of spices-dessert was masterful with my partner having cheesecake & I chose the sparkling sorbet which was the perfect end to my dinner. The cheesecake didn’t take like cheesecake in that it was so different tasting, and so smooth it was “one of the best cheesecakes I’ve ever had” . I had a very little bit only bc I'm lactose intolerant so I agree with his comments, but I can also speak to the shabby chic minimalist bathroom accommodations that had a changing table, & handrail in addition to refreshing scented spray & the restaurant music (which greatly helps those of us who don’t like others to hear us while we go to the bathroom!)
Best wine bar in the DMV - great atmosphere, service, food and wine selection. Charles made the evening special. Second time coming and still a great experience. Would go out of my way to come back!!
