Equator has the best black coffee I’ve had in the Bay Area. Rich flavor that warms your soul in the morning!
The almond croissant is also delicious, baked fresh daily from Firebrand.
The baristas here are warm and friendly, too! Overall a nice neighborhood cafe!
The staff is very friendly and nice. Can have a long wait at peak times, it's a good idea to order ahead using the app. They've never gotten my order wrong, and have occasionally offered discounts on baked goods at the end of the day.
I come here for drip coffee and the FIREBRAND baked goods :) I nearly never get an espresso drink because the service is so slow. I think they should prioritize in-person orders before online orders, because you end up waiting around for a very long time if you place your order in person. For drip coffee, though, very speedy and good quality stuff! Nice little outdoor seating area, good vibes. In the winter you can ask them to turn on the heater too.
Incredibly incredibly incredibly slow.
20+ minute wait for an iced coffee.
Five people ahead of me.
Took 5+ minutes for an employee to even acknowledge me at the register. Then 20 minutes to get served.
Employees seem incredibly lackadaisical
Slowest coffee shop eveeeeeeeeeer! 😩 I've never been here and told that it wouldn't be a 15-20 min wait for a cappuccino. But today, I stood there for over 40 min and then finally lost my patience only to find that they had misplaced my order! 🤬🤬🤬 I was literally waiting for 50 min (I checked on my Google Maps timeline) only to have to wait another 10 min while they rushed to make my drink. A bloody _HOUR_ for a cappuccino! And they didn't even offer to refund my money, tip or even offer me a complimentary cookie as an apology.
Never again! Next time, I'm going to 1888 Coffee Station down the street. 👋
Came on a Sunday afternoon and had an amazing egg sandwich and really nice strawberry lemonade, my buddy had a coffee and Oreo donut that looked really good,
Also the layout is really cool cause the large containerships and raised platform makes it feel like a small tucked away oasis away from the busy Oakland streets.
Their coffee is really good but their service is soooo slow. It takes at least 15-20 min for me to get my drink, even if there's few people around and it's just an americano. I wish they would prioritize in-person orders before the online orders.
Waited 30 minutes and left because I didn't want to be late to work. Never got my coffee. The barista made herself an expresso before starting.
My new fave: Cute little space with a couple tables inside and out front, very sweet team behind the counter (brother & sister?). For the price of an avocado toast elsewhere, I got an avo toast AND an açaà bowl. The toast was topped with a flavor b
This coffee had been so deliciously sweet and showing a strong taste of strawberries (be aware there was no sugar involved in the cappuccino) and the baristas had both been really nice. I also got a V60 filter, which also highlighted the berry taste.
If you're like me - you love coffee - and if you're in a new area, you want to experience great coffee from a local business. I'm happy to report modern coffee meets that challenge head on and impressively!
Super engaged and friendly staff - excelle
This is the best place to buy freshly roasted, whole been coffee right from the factory. The Organic Balthazar and Guatemala Antigua are my favorites. If you love coffee, it's worth the drive if you're not close. They've been doing it for almost 100
We are here every weekend morning that we are in town as it is part of our routine coffee stop and dog walk.
There are signs saying that there are only service dogs allowed inside, but we have seen dogs sitting inside and walking through with their
I use to come here often when I worked in the neighborhood and it's changed over the year(s) as the pandemic has started to come to and end ð¤ð½. There isn't a ton of space inside but they do have a few seating arrangements outside. However, I do
I like this place that I discovered while exploring Oakland. The restroom is clean and the coffee is amazing. I ordered a Dirty Chai Latte which was delicious. Fortunately, they had lactose-free milk available for the coffee. When I asked for a phone
This is the best place to grab a coffee and a pastry on your way to Lake Merritt! Friendly staff and great food offerings. I love that they typically have treats out for your dogs.
Blue Bottle Coffee is unique coffee house with a one of an kind experience. The coffee is perfectly roasted. They are excellent for making a robust cup of coffee. The Staff seems to be very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about their products. Wi
Cozy, unpretentious yoga studio for people of all ages and abilities. I've only gone to this location one time so far but the instructor was great. Lots of natural light and a nice waiting area with clean restrooms and water available. Highly recomme
We went at 8pm and ordered a 6-piece buffalo wing and a pepperoni pizza. There was one man who was working the front and kitchen. He was extremely kind and friendly, and the food was ready quickly. We wish we had ordered more than 6 wings, as they we
Love to support small business inspired by family and culture and led by strong women! Highly recommend the latiya latte and champorado mocha (as well as their chicken empanada) ð we had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with co-owner Ari and l
I just had the most amazing meal at Casa Borinquena, and I can't wait to share my experience! The potato balls were seriously tasty, especially with that sauce they came with. And let's talk about the chicken skewer â it was packed with flavor and
Not only a great chocolate shop but a great coffee shop as well. This little boutique on College Ave had been flying beneath my radar until I stumbled in the other day.

A must visit every time Iâm in Oakland.
Stopped by before a concert at the Fox on a Monday night. There were lots of open seats, love their back patio. They have heaters but it was warm enough without them. We ordered at the bar and our drinks and
Delicious buttermilk biscuit egg sandwich with avocado, caramelized onions with a side of roasted rosemary red potatoes coupled with a large lavender latte! At 10:30 a.m. on a Tuesday, this place was busy, but not overly busy. I was able to easily or
Iâve been waiting 10 years hoping someone would bring good Colombian food to the Bay Area, the wait is finally over! My wife and I are Colombian and we couldnât have been more delighted celebrating our anniversary at Parche. The service was fan
Loved this place! I was visiting from Korea and I needed some Asian food with rice. The place is small and simple but Ben and the other perosn working there were very friendly. They offered hot tea, and more rice! Food was good and the prices were re
