This is a wonderful experience. You must try this at least once if you are in the DFW area. The flowers are wonderful to see and the scenic Texas small towns are fun to drive through. The only downside is there are no clear signs so you will have to navigate bye Using a old school map. However, it is well worth the adventure.
Loveeeeeee this Bluebonnet trails. Love how the city has planned everything with maps and they guide you at the welcome center. The trails have a lot of good spots to take pictures. The picnic area with table and chairs are great and the lake view is so worth it. We took some food with us and ate over there aftet pictures and videos
Skip all the local driving and just go to the meadow view nature area. You can walk right up to wildflowers . There are tons of picnic benches and it's right on lake bardwell. Gorgeous in April.
Awesome blue-bonnet route for those who love blue bonnets and indian paintbrush. In April the fields are full with them. Make sure to get updated information from the Welcome Center and the trail map.
Great day exploring the Bluebonnet Fields. We went the weekend before the actual festival and it was all in full bloom! Lots of pretty sites, antique store and cute farm animals too. Make sure to try the kolachies while you are in Ennis.
The bluebonnet trail is pretty striking in places. You'll see Bluebonnets, indian paintbrush, all kinds of wildflowers. The drive is pleasant and easy, and the Bluebonnet festival is top notch! Food, carnival rides, live music, etc. I've done it three years in a row now. I always enjoy it. Check out the "Ennis y'all" app for maps and info. I drive up from Houston, that's how much I enjoy it. The trails are free, the festival costs $5 for adults.
Nice driving trail with lot of beautiful bluebonnet flowers. There are lot of areas to cover, entire area is filled in blue. It is the peak season, there are lot of people are coming to visit, but it is spread across 40 miles, so you won’t feel the crowd. Really a nice to place to visit
Best place to see the wildflowers in all of Texas!! The visitor center was very informative and the staff were very helpful and pleasant!! Highly recommend for next year! Save time and drive to Ennis, TX and forget about Fredericksburg!

This is one of the absolute best places for Airstream and vintage travel trailer owners. Each of the sites offer the perfect balance of seclusion and convenience. Embedded among the oaks and cedars and locust trees gave me and my family an unparallel
amazing food and great people!! iâll definitely be back again ð they suggested a secret menu item: brisket elote and it was to die for!! so good!!! they also had frozen margaritas and daiquiris ð¹
The staff greeted me with a warm welcome the moment I entered the door. The service was fast and accurate. My upside down Caramel Machiatowith 2 extra shots was deliciously perfect.
