Empire Buffet - Buffet restaurant in San Pablo - 700 San Pablo Towne Center, USA

First Timers - Came in on Labor Day Monday, after a day of fishing. Food was decent for a Chinese buffet, especially for the price of $21.95 pp to also include seafood. The young man who was our server was great, cleared our table quick and topped off our drinks often. There is a little something for everyone, including toddlers who like pizza and fries. We would re-visit this establishment if in the area again. My favorites were : Hot & Sour Soup : Mongolian Grill : Crab Legs : Sauteed Bok choy.

The food is just great, I loved it but I'm not sure if I will come back, because after dinner I decided to wash my hands, where a male employee used the facilities washed his blue gloves before mind his business then barely rinse out without soap his gloves and I expressed to him to take them out and as employee mush wash his hands before returning to work by California law, he just looked at me and returned to his duties careless what I remark, I preferred to share my disgusting experience here, I'm sure is going to make better results than just mentioning to the management on site.

Kids putting their fingers into the dishes, licking them and doing again in another dish and staff is doing nothing about that! Whole bowl should be discarded at that point. Don’t blame parents, if you can’t control kids then you shouldn’t be allowing them in. If you can’t control the food safety then you should be closed permanently. Quality of food was mediocre at best. Crabs were bitter. No sushi at all. Not big choice of the food. That happened for dinner buffet on Saturday. They charged me about $25. I can get better quality and experience buffet for lower price.

There was some food varieties. I was sad that I couldn't get crab legs as soon as the batch was out people were already taking everything. I waited 30 minutes and still nothing. Other than that we like the food, lots of shrimp we got. The service was nice

I was skeptical about going back after covid because the reviews were all over the place. I'm glad I made the decision for myself to go. All of the food was excellent, hot and tasty just like I remembered from a few years ago. The Dungeness Crab legs were constantly coming out and they were sooooo good. The only thing that disappointed me was that no sushi was available other than that A1. The service was good and the people were friendly. We went on a Sunday at about 2:30 p.m. I definitely recommend and we will definitely be going back!

Was not great, the sign advertises sushi, Mongolian BBQ and buffet, but the BBQ and sushi were both unavailable. Two of the buffet serving tables (out of 3) were room temperature. The orange chicken was the only good dish. Threw up in the parking lot, would not recommend

Zero stars!!! Health inspectors need to look into this place, I immediately felt sick after eating here. I also saw a lady take a greasy dirty towel and do a wipe down around the food and clean the glass above the food, this was the first and last time I will be here. Atmosphere is dark and cold and the employees don't care about there patrons just about the money. Also, they have a big light up sign inside that says they sell sushi but when you ask the employees they say " sushi's has been closed for a while now", well the sign should be removed or turned off. If you decide to eat here, nevermind just don't. Trust me it's not worth it. Hometown was a much better choice than this!!! Or you can go to Golden Corral 45 minutes away but you will have a much better experience and not end up sick in a hospital.

Food was cold looks like recycled food soup taste like straight up water. Those Rangoons its already spoil yet they still serve them dirty place to begin we'll not coming back to this location why does health department still haven't shut this down yet? Then they will force you to give them tip they won't leave until you give them tip. When we hand them $3 they got mad shouldn't even give them any FOODS DIGUSTING.
