Yeah. So anyway. I went wandering. This Park is right here. Never went anywhere. I am not the only person who found it. All kinds of Human Beings here. Frolicsome. Noisome. Happy to be alive, Human Beings. Wide open. Useful. A delight. So there.
One of my favorite parks, not only in Eugene, but in general. It's amazing the way the trees have grown and the grass stays green all year round. The Recreation center is great for working out, swimming, and local activities. The playground was a staple for my kids growing up.
I've been visiting here for years now, the pool opens at 5:00 a.m. There's always lifeguards available, the bathrooms & showers are always clean & even when I was homeless bringing my daughter there to get ready for school everyone was quite friendly to us. My only issue is actually with the Park service not providing a security guard. Because we have had a few incidences with child creepers. #zerotolerance
The toilets are clean and well-stocked (I'm a fan of good bathrooms). There are lots of picnic benches for gatherings, and lots of shade for hot days. This park doesn't have a huge open grassy area; not ideal for flying a kite or playing frisbee or other ball sports. There is a basketball court behind the park, however, and it is pretty good.
Went to a Parkinson’s picnic, and this park was beautiful. Lots of places to walk, clean restrooms. Some covered picnic areas. Playground looked fun and they have a center too. Brought my dog too.
Ample picnic spaces with charcoal grills. Nice small - medium size playground. A real bowl for skateboard/rollerblade/BMX. Outdoor swimming pool, basketball hoops, winding easygoing footpaths with numerous benches dotted along the way . This park really does have it all!
Had a great time at the park. Went for the concert at emerald park to listen to satin love orchestra i believe was the name of the band. Very good. Park is very nice with lots of shade and grass. Has a playground, sand volleyball courts, a few covered areas for parties and bbq pits. Nice open areas with lots of sunshine also. If your looking to relax, worth the stop.
My dad was baptized here. A beautiful little park and great setting!
Great hike. Not too challenging but enough to give you a workout and a reward of a fabulous view from the top.
Can be a little busy but I found everyone is friendly and enjoying the hike.
Great walk pleasant people try and do together walk in 45 minutes. The best I've done is 50 minutes. Beautiful and always interesting things turkeys owls.
I just love this park so much. It's never too busy, but it's absolutely gorgeous and there is always good people and dog watching! If you want a nice place to relax in the sun come here.
Cute park with a massive playground and open areas. The real gem are small pathways thru the treeline down to the water for a secluded spot to hang in the shade and listen to the water
My family & I love coming here. Its kind of a special place for us. Amazing view of Eugene & breathtaking view of the mountains. Drive up to the top always freaks me out tho, its unnerving cuz it's pretty steep!
It's a great park to walk. Right next to the Willamette River, the mixture of green and bubbling clear water create a very nice environment for a walk or bike. Across the bridge is the university of Oregon, and many office buildings. Great area to re
Lovely little jaunt in South Eugene. Typically quite clean, somewhat vertical and parking can be a bit tight at the bottom of the trail so arrive early or be lucky!
Mid-sized playground with quite a few fun features. The sideless slide makes me nervous but my preschooler has no problem staying on - neither did I. Along with the playground equipment (slides, swings for big and little kids, teeter-totter, small sp

This was a surprise find on a trip to Eugene. We went on our first night; but based on the owner, friendly atmosphere, and crowd, we went back each night we were in the area.
