Embassy Suites by Hilton Kansas City Plaza - Featured Reviews (2788)
It is a nice stay for the price. Our second time here it is a good 3⭐ hotel. The pool is pretty nice, the hot tub bubbles a little aggressive but we still enjoyed. The architecture is really neat. The hotel could use some updates, the bathroom is a little small like a cruise ship but it's tub and toilet with sink outside... so manageable. It's decent and is in a good location.
Travelling from Arkansas to North Dakota, my Dog and I needed to stop and rest and Embassy Suites by Hilton popped up on my map as being pet friendly so I decided to stay there and it was AMAZING. The employees were very helpful with me making sure I got a room suitable for us. There's a parking garage which made me feel very safe and my vehicle protected. The historical architecture is mesmerizing and breathtaking views of the city from the balcony of my room. Also, the breakfast was delicious with made to order omelets and fresh juices. I plan to go there again on the way home. ❤️🙏
We were recently in town for a wedding and stayed at the Embassy Suites. The parking is kind of a disaster. No one knows what to do so people end up trying to back out and it just makes a mess. At one point my husband saw a homeless person walking around the parking lot looking into the cars so clearly the "gated parking" means nothing. We got to the desk and when I was checking in I noticed the price they were charging was higher than the group rate we got so I asked and she said "yeah, you got the group rate". I let it go and was going to check my credit card and try and do the math since I know the taxes and fees can add up. Once we got to our room, it smelled a bit off. The bathroom smelled like someone had just smoked a cigarette in it. I went to take a shower and it took 5 minutes for lukewarm water and 10 minutes for any hot water. After the wedding we came back and sat in the area near the bar where there are pool tables and the carpet was disgusting. It was sticky and matted down everywhere. Our room was on the very end and it was extremely loud at night from sirens and cars driving by. When we went to check out, I asked about why my bill was so high again compared to the group rate and the same girl that checked me in said it was due to a $50 incidentals hold. That was completely fine but probably should have been explained when I asked about it upon check in. Overall, this place is just rundown. For $250 a night, I expect a whole lot better!
Where to begin. 1st room we were given reeked of cigarettes. Man at front desk was very kind and gave us another room. Walked in and it was very warm. Air was set at 60 so obviously not working. Went back down and the same man was again very kind and gave us another room. The hotel is run down and one of the older version Embassy Suites, with the indoor pool that makes the entire hotel humid and sticky. There is no street parking anywhere nearby so you will need to pay the $23 per night fee. Not a terrible stay but just run down and old.
So, I rate this place a 5 Star experience and let me tell you. This hotel has so much features, like a pool, arcade, and a gym! This was not a bad experience or good. It was amazing, even though this place has a 3.5 stars. I loved it. In the morning they made toast, it was kinda too burnt but it's ok. I love the people, service, and rooms. I would recommend
First of all, know that the charges when you book your room are not final they add $50.00 a night deposit and $23.00 a night for parking. Which at the time I was like ok whatever, but once I checked out they charged my account 3 different times for different amounts that they didn’t even know how to explain why I got charged to begin with. I will not be staying at this hotel ever again. 5 days later I’m still waiting for them to reimburse my money.
Room was absolutely terrible. Looked like it hadn't been updated in 40 years. It was dirty and literally falling apart. I asked for an nicer room, they said they didn't exist. I wanted to cancel the next 2 days and they wouldn't refund my money. They would only do 1 of the 3 nights. We left and went to the Hilton... much nicer. The people working the breakfast and bar were great, but the management was absolutely terrible.
This Embassy Suites is the worst I have stay at so far. Unlike many other Hilton Hotels I’ve stayed at before, this one feels like the cheapest(even though this one’s price is not cheap) and dirtiest motel. Many things in the room either don’t work or are extremely dirty, including a completely broken door, a rusty and leaking tub, and sticky carpets. The bathroom in the room is also super tiny, uncomfortable and outdated.
The fruits that they served were also dirty, and most of the food at breakfast tasted stale. The front desk didn’t answer calls during the night, and the lady cooking the omelettes was very aggressive and unwilling to answer any questions. All the staff I interacted with were unprofessional and didn’t care about customer service at all. This place is a nightmare—I couldn’t sleep or eat well. It’s been torture for my trip.
I will not book any Embassy Suites in the future because of this terrible experience.

This is the place to be in KC. My husband and I had such an amazing experience at The Truitt. We loved everything about it. We loved the unique and luxurious decor, the ease of parking, comfort of the room and how easy it was to walk to the art museu
Large well appointed room in a great location to walk to the Art Museum. Very clean easy to check-in and out and nice common areas. Very comfortable bed and temperature control was perfect. Great hot shower. Private secure parking inside the fence
Very good service and staff. Everyone in the front counter was incredibly friendly, as well as the people from the service. Installations are clean, comfortable, in a very good state. Included wifi and guest laundry were a good bonus. And complementa

First of all we love the name! Two Sugars in Kansas City is such a cute name and coffee shop. We loved our latte and conversation with the owner. Iâll definitely be back to try their matcha!
I've dropped into the 11:30am class several times. Fantastic community, coaching, and workouts. Clean showers and bathrooms. Ample equipment and parking. Everyone I met was welcoming and interactive. The community has been together for many years and
