My family and I enjoyed our stay. We loved the hotels location and affordable rates, and the complete breakfast provided every morning. On our last day, packed and went downstairs to enjoy our breakfast. We went back to our room to finish gathering our things to check out. My husband and I always do a thorough check of the room before we leave a hotel to make sure everything is packed. We left our luggage for a couple of hours at the bell desk so we can enjoy a nice lunch before heading back home. I was extremely disappointed when I returned home and discovered that TWO of my dresses did not make it back home. We are not sure at what point the dresses went missing. I can't say if they disappeared while we were at breakfast or while our suitcase was held at the bell desk.

We stayed here for a conference, and we were very apprehensive when we read the recent reviews. Fortunately, we ended up having a pretty good stay. |Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Front desk gladly made me an extra key when I left mine in the room. Shuttle driver took people to nearby WalMart. Housekeeping was always very thorough. We had a plumbing problem and engineering came to stop it right away, and fixed it the following day.||Breakfast staff were nice, and the lady cooking omlettes was great. There was plenty of food choices at breakfast, although the coffee is awful. Evening happy hour had rum & whiskey punch that our group really enjoyed.||Yes, the hotel rooms are very dated and worn. Our room's towel rack was loose in the wall, and there are not enough plugs for both the lamps and device chargers. Bedroom TV did not work, and the bed is very hard. | |One of the employees said the hotel was built in 1997, and has never been renovated. There are currently renovations in progress that have the 9th and 10th floors, and one of the elevators, closed off. The employees said this is an extensive renovation including replacing plumbing, all furniture, etc. so it will take a while. Once they finish the rooms, they will do the first floor.

The Embassy Suites by Hilton Charleston Airport Hotel & Convention Center is outdated. The hotel room we stayed in smelled horrible we had to get air wicks. The elevator got stuck while ppl were on it. So please proceed with caution. Someone pulled the alarm at 2 AM.. we all had to go outside in the rain. It’s hard to get fresh towels especially if you’re not down for your room to be cleaned. We stayed 4 nights and you have to go through hoops to get your room cleaned. The curtains, carpet and furniture needs to be cleaned. You have to pay someone else to park outside they are not affiliated with the company. If you want to check in before 4:00 P.M. They charge $25.00 per the receptionist. The only thing that was good 2 out of the 4 days we stayed was the breakfast. Fresh omelettes, made to order. When big events are being hosted at the hotel it’s not enough table and chairs to sit and eat breakfast. You snooze… you lose. You will either wait on a table or go back to your room. I was told this hotel had been renovated… I think someone dropped the ball on that. It is not up dated at all. If you are with your family there are not enough outlets for charging. No updated appliances. And the Internet drops, lags, and is very slow.

Horrible experience! Not worth $2 a night!! We were there for 4 days for a conference. The room was not serviced once even after asking nicely. I asked for service since the trash was piling up and the towels were wet and musty, nothing in the room ever dried out. I had to put our wet dirty ones along with our trash in the hall, after the service I asked for wasn’t provided the day before. When I asked for towels at the desk, the staff member was not helpful and finally said “because of your circumstances I will give you some.” The next day our room still hadn’t been serviced and we were out of toilet paper. When I asked for that the desk person was even worse and would NOT give me toilet paper!!!!!! The rooms smell, we were woken up by jackhammers at 8am on a Saturday which there was no notification of. I thought the shower from the room above us was about to drop onto my head since our water made a loud noise and vibrated when you turned it on. I was in the lobby bathroom and had to text someone to bring me toilet paper. The next day that bathroom looked exactly the same with overflowing trash and missing rolls in multiple stalls. This conference was booked prior to the construction starting and given the circumstances our room rates should have been decreased because of those circumstances. This was horrible and I would never stay here again! Not because of the construction or other issues that I would hope the remodel is changing but because the staff was horrible!! You should never have to get toilet paper from friends or take it from a lobby bathroom while staying at a hotel that costs almost $1000 for 4 nights.

Because I was attending a convention at this property, I felt I had to stay here, but having read the reviews, I had grave misgivings. While I'm not saying that anyone misrepresented their experience, I will say that I had an entirely pleasant experience. Is the hotel old and is the furniture somewhat dated? Well, yes, it is, but it was all as clean as could be and in good repair. I had daily housekeeping service, and everything I could need was supplied. The convention food was excellent (and for convention food, that's saying something!), the bar (both paid and free) had good drinks and good food. The service and the attitude of all the staff was cheerful and helpful. Like other Embassy Suites, there was an evening reception with snacks and free drinks, and the breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. Because it was a convention, I spent a lot of time walking back and forth to the convention center, both by going outside and by walking over the enclosed walkway--very convenient. Does this hotel need a refresh? Of course, and I understand that they will get it soon. But for me and for this particular 4-night stay, I was entirely pleased and I'm glad I didn't let reviews scare me off.

Stayed a weekend here for a family reunion. The rooms are in serious need of updating. We had a 2 room King suite with a pull out sofa bed. Most of the furniture was stained and very old. The carpet in the room smelled very old. The walls and curtains had stains. The bathroom mirror was chipping and the bottom of the tub was painted white which concerned us. It made us think they may have been trying to cover up something on the tub. The water pressure in the shower was very low. The cleanliness of the room made me and family very uncomfortable so we bought cleaning supplies to clean around the room. On our last morning there, were woken up early in the morning by someone drilling and hammering in the next room. The breakfast was ok. The only thing really worth it was the omelette station. It was in a convenient location. It was located near several stores and restaurants. Overall, I would not recommend staying here. It was not worth money.

The hotel was nice and the breakfast was amazing. With that being said, we had no water in our hotel room. When we informed them that we had no water they got it fixed. We gave it a little bit to warm up it never did. We asked if we could use an empty room to shower really quick and they told us no. We couldn’t believe it. After paying the amount we did and we’re not able to shower is ridiculous. Never staying here again. Not to mention they were doing construction on the top 2 floors and were never told about it. Not worth the money.

Worst hotel experience in a long time. As soon as we walked in the room the stale smell impregnated our nostrils. Everything was incredibly damp. Now, normally I would have went and complained but it was midnight and we had to leave at 0600 to catch a flight. So instead of going through the hassle we just dealt with the smell. Well about 30 minutes later when we ran out of towels, because there were only 3 in a room that sleeps 6, I knew that the 1 star review would be coming. So to further disappoint the AC wasn’t working too well, hence the damp stale smell. So we were a little uncomfortable for the 5 hour nap. Well when we woke up the floor was soaked and I was again reminded of the lack of towels. So after arousing ourselves to get to the airport my daughter wanted a refreshing ice cold beverage to rehydrate from the soggy jungle that we slept in but to our already disappointed selves none of the ice machines worked. I enjoy embassy suites because it’s usually an experience and quality stay but I recommend finding other accommodations in the Charleston area.

Upon check-in, I discovered that my reservation had been changed to a King room, despite needing two double beds. However, the desk clerk went above and beyond to promptly resolve the issue. What impressed me the most was her attention to detail, as
