Elysian Place - Lodging in Cincinnati - 2161 Elysian Pl, USA

My husband and two sister-in-laws and their husbands came to Cincinnati to celebrate my birthday. We all chose this home as our place to stay. ||The house is beautiful. The woodwork is outstanding. The dining room table is awe inspiring. ||Chip and Jan are fabulous hosts. They are friendly and easy to engage. They shared some of the history of the house they restored and even have a hard copy book which guests can read to learn the entire story. ||If you want a relaxing, quiet stay in a beautiful home, I recommend The Elysian place without reservation. ||If we ever come to Cincinnati for an extended time again, we will definitely book our stay here. We were all well pleased.

We spent our Anniversary weekend with Chip and Jan and they helped make our time away so special. We live close to Cincinnati and this B and B let us feel like we were hiding in plain site all weekend. We loved the big front porch and swing with amazing views of Cincinnati. Jan's breakfasts were so good and so many details to make us feel catered to. We enjoyed walking around near the UC campus as well as in Over The Rhine downtown. Definitely one that folks should experience!!!

A wonderful experience this Bed and Breakfast was. A Fantastic view of the city in a secluded location around an urban environment. Easy access to the interstates. My wife and I loved the covered porch view of the city at night, while drinking Champagne celebrating our honeymoon. Our third floor room was plenty roomy enough and the bed was comfortable. The walk in shower was nice with plenty of hot water, complementary coffee and soft drinks were provided. Internet access is provided as well as a smart TV, but we never turned it on honestly. Our breakfasts for the 2 day stay were extremely tasty, and we felt like great care was taken to make them. This certainly beats any corporate hotel we have been to for atmosphere. The charm of the property and its owners makes this a must visit. We probably will return in the future. I highly recommend Elsyian Place Bed and Breakfast.

My husband and I were blown away by this gorgeous bed and breakfast located in the heart of Cincinnati situated on a hillside overlooking the city. One would never assume such an estate would sit two minutes from "college town" (the University of Cincinnati) with its busy streets and foot traffic. But indeed it does, with quiet elegance. The mansion has been restored with great architectural detail and woodworking beyond belief. At times I felt like Lady Mary from Downton Abbey gliding down the formal staircases and perching at the dining room table (seats for 20 perhaps?). And amidst all the grandeur, proprietors Chip and Jan offered us a very warm, welcome stay. Decorating most of their walls are photos of family fun... children and grandchildren, not far from the exclusive Rookwood pieces and fine antiques. So great to be able to enjoy incredibly nice hospitality while frolicking in the divine!!!

Honestly, sightseeing in the house is encouraged. This Cincinnati mansion has been wondrously restored with love by the owners, a power couple who enjoys showing people the old high class history of Cincinnati. The property has a lovely ogerlook of the city from the veranda, the owners cater to you, bringing snacks and food should you like, and preparing a lovely breakfast (think quiches and tarts with silver and china) for you in the morning. Truly, it’s a wonderful experience of an old Victorian mansion, and parking is easy right at the end of the road. ||||Just bring blankets.

We had a great stay here with Chip and Jan. They are wonderful hosts. The B&B is conveniently located steps from campus and a short drive to down town attractions. The house is beautifully restored. Rooms are a good size and well appointed. Breakfasts were always delicious. Fantastic view of the city from the property.

Lovely house and grounds! Private atmosphere throughout! Excellent homemade food, wonderful conversation and ideas of where to go from the owners! Close to downtown area with lots to do. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay!

An oasis in the middle of a thriving city, with a great view! Close to The University of Cincinnati, and downtown, too.
