Elmwood Park Public Library - Public library in Elmwood Park - 1 Conti Pkwy, USA

I've been coming here with my niece and picking up her stack of books but lately workers have been rude and unpleasant. A front desk person named Valery was the rudest person ever. I've walked into the building and doesn't even say "Hi", I say Hi every time. Ive noticed with other people she does acknowledge them. I've asked her questions because sometimes she's the only one at the front and she barely answers. Ive also heard from other workers that the director isn't pleasant either. Overall staff has been getting worse and I don't even want to deal with them.

Board of this library cancels meetings because they don't want public comment, and are too afraid to hear dissent over their nefarious practices. 1/3 of staff have quit in the past few months. New library director has no library experience and comes from a business background. Board and library, be transparent!

Loooove this place. Quiet place to study and nice people! There are many activities for the kids. There is also huge separate floor for kids as well for adults. Tons of multimedia and large selection of introspective books.

Ok library. The photo of it on Google makes it appear to be larger than what it is. It is not nearly the size of Oak Park's main library or Elmhurst Park( very large libraries) An ok size selection of books but not exhaustive. IMO they lack study space in the adult section and should invest in mobile power outlets.

To be honest this place is actually pretty cool. I grew up with this library for about almost 8 years now and never had an under satisfactory experience. Like others have stated, it's a quiet place, has a great variety of books, friendly staff, and plenty of computers. I have even heard about half a year ago that this library now has an accessible 3d printer (which you can ask the staff about it and how to print stuff). Like I said, great place: you can take my word for it.

Great library, clean and cool with working computers, etc. Staff is very helpful, they go the extra mile for their patrons. My only gripe is having to pay for print/copy/fax services, which other libraries do not charge for.

Lovely library. Has more materials to our liking than other libraries. Including different languages. The staff are always super nice. They would make craft projects for kids to do.

The Elmwood Park library continues to offer to deliver materials to you outside the library. Just follow the easy instructions posted on the boards. Bring your phone and library card. The library is still open to walk in browsing and check outs. When I visited on 11/16 there was a 30 minute limit for computer use. Hand sanitizing is available and encouraged and temperatures are checked for all that enter.
