This place is insanely good and fantastic service. The menu is extensive but it was all simply delicious. We went for lunch at the last minute. Very casual but so enjoyable. We had chorizo tacos, avo chicken salad and one of their special recipe Johnny cakes for something sweet at the end. Very reasonable priced and generous portions. For good American and Mexican food with a casual but authentic vibe, look no further. Catalina was our server and she gets a 10/10. We loved it!
I’m writing this review because im so tired of hearing that young people are not doing their jobs, for the last 25 years, there have been mostly young people (16-20) taking orders @ the counter, otherwise there was a Lady that worked the breakfast for many years, She is no longer there, but she was very fast and efficient. I have never had a rude or unprofessional or disrespectful encounter with the employees, they are very pleasant and helpful, even if you ask for changes to a meal for preference they are always accommodating. As a cook and prep cook, waitress and baker, i would like to congratulate ELLIE’s on their dedication to employee appreciation and staying open during the c19 pandemic and always doing their best to provide a healthy and Lovely food and dining experience. Thank You ❣️
This place is gross. They let people with dogs inside. Lady was petting her hairy dog as I watched the dog hair go all over. Manager did nothing about it and said they are pet friendly. Sorry..it's a food establishment and pet friendly is different then someone having a disability dog. This was not the case. I will never go back there again. Plus they have children working there that have zero sense of Urgency. Gross!!!
For those of you who are EMH virgins, know this: there is no better all-around home cooking spot for breakfast & lunch for 50 miles along Highway 101 between Cloverdale and Willits.
Ellie’s is super well-staffed, which means customers are greeted, helped, and served in record time. Plenty of comfort food (sausage patties, flapjacks) + healthy food (tofu scramble, avocado toast) for breakfast, ditto for lunch.
Outdoor shaded patio dining means there’s space for well-behaved dogs. N the bathrooms are ADA accessible and clean.
This is a big-time locals hangout, and the prices reflect both the region (reasonable plate prices) yet are not cheap (coffee is $3.50 , fresh-squeezed OJ is $8.50). But the coffee is refillable — we were given a thermos — and the OJ was fabulous.
Horrible experience.
My food was OK (tofu, veggies and grains). My son had a French dip with two very thin pieces of meat both of which had zero flavor and my niece had a veggie burger, the patty barely covered 1/2 of the bun. It was more expensive then our meal at the Ukiah Brewery (which was really good, fresh, filling and great service)! The service at Ellie's was a joke. 3 kids standing around chatting after our food was served we were never checked on and had to ask for our tab. Living on the coast I came here often and always had great food. It's gone down hill and we will not return.
I was overcharged on 2 separate items. I showed the waitress the amount listed on the menu & was told ice tea is considered a fountain drink & cost more. What? It doesn't even come out of the fountain dispenser! That was 25 cents. The other item was over by 50 cents.
After pointing out the discrepancies, they refunded only 25 cents.
Poor customer service in my opinion.
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE.. I HAVE BEENA CUSTOMER SINCE IT WAS A HOT DOG STAND... THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE I EAT OUT IN UKIAH... The service is absolutely outstanding every Waitress is absolutely amazing. I do not have enough room to write all of the things positive that I could say about Ellie's mutt hat.. thank you. See you soon.
The vegetarian restaurant for both vegetarians and meat eaters! My wife and I stopped in on a whim and we were very pleasantly surprised about the food. The menu what is simple straightforward. We really enjoyed the big spud. The tofu was surprisingly good. The spices really made the dish. My wife had extra vegetables on hers and the grain was really well cooked. We also had the tortilla soup and the broccoli soup which was very tasty. To finish it all off I ordered the blackberry milkshake which had real blackberries in it. All in all a very enjoyable and affordable meal. I would highly suggest going if you are in Ukiah.
We've lived in Ukiah for almost 4 years. We heard about Mama's Cafe. But, this was our first visit. Why did we wait so long? The decor has an old school feel (a good thing). Still, we did not come for the decor. We were looking for good food made wit
I've been using Ukiah Wireless for more than 10 years now, and I couldn't be happier with the service. My interconnect connection is excellent, even though I'm in a remote area that's difficult to reach. Customer service is outstanding. Problems are
I had the pleasure of dining at Taco House, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. The tacos were hands down the best I've ever had, and the warmth and friendliness of the owner added a delightful touch to the visit. If I were a local, I
From the first visit to Yokayo Ranch, we knew that this was a special place. Rachel, the owner of Yokayo Ranch, was so warm and down-to-earth, and helped us visualize how each space throughout the ranch could be set up for our wedding weekend. Throug
Biggest redwoods of Mendocino County! It's off the beaten path, we drove around 50 minutes in from Mendocino city. The large redwood grove is a short quarter mile up a hill, but once you hit the valley it's absolutely gorgeous! There's a loop around
From Sacramento, CA just drive up here in ukiah town. I tell you this. Great small town and very respectful community. Holey bagels are delicious. Small market. Chinese food. Boba waffles and if you and families are staying in town or swinging by. De
