This was my first stay in a historic type building. It was really interesting and unique, however the historic furniture and floors were probably not something I'd seek out again. Pretty much my fault since I didn't think about this prior. The floors and beds were so so squeaky and the Wasatch Room was right next to the door and the breakfast so it was a little bit noisy. Otherwise, it was clean and the grounds are cute. The highlight is the breakfast. So delicious and unique. Also you have to choose a breakfast time when you check in, so you kind of have to hope others pick times you don't want when you check in.

I booked a one night stay with my daughter (we’re from the area, just in need of a cute staycation). We stayed in the Zion suite. We loved our stay! It felt special and unique. We took a walk in the evening to look at the neighborhood architecture. Breakfast was lovely out on the porch. Fresh cookies on arrival. Plenty of street parking. Our room was spacious and felt private. We would stay again!

This place is so elegant and charming! Perfectly comfortable and the staff were very accommodating and helpful. I ended up spending more time relaxing here than actually sightseeing in the city, which is something I never do when traveling. If I have to list any cons, I would say it is on a rather steep hill which wasn't much fun at 100 degrees, but if you're in a car it's fine. That or just never leave (recommended).

The house is lovely, and it’s in the quaint Avenues neighborhood. Surrounded by nice trees and landscaping, it feels like an oasis in the city. The room, Wasatch, is gorgeously appointed with a king-sized, four-post bed. The bed was very comfortable—if a bit creaky—with soft sheets and a down comforter. I imagine it would be very cozy on a cold, winter night as well. My only complaint was that light from the neighbor came through the window shade making the room not quite as dark as I would have preferred. Since it is a bed and BREAKFAST, let’s get to that. The biscuit and bison gravy was DELICIOUS. The biscuit is actually a corn johnjycake, which is just a bit sweet. The sweet of the biscuit contrasts so well with the savory mushroom and ground bison gravy. The dish was served in a hot, cast iron skillet topped with some delicious Parmesan cheese. I highly recommend it! Finally, the service was outstanding. There were tasty, chocolate chip cookies with flake salt to greet us upon check in. We will definitely be back!

Gorgeous inside and out, 5 minute into downtown or 20 minute walk, AMAZING staff, and handcrafted breakfast to live for. This is a rare gem of a find in a city full of chain hotels that make you feel fancy but leave you empty. There is history, personality, and soul waiting to meet you here at the Ellerbeck Bed and Breakfast. Side note: the Zion suite is lovely and the bed is extremely comfortable!

Absolutely loved it here! Very nice location, near enough to walk downtown but far enough out of the way it's quiet. Beautiful clean building with turn-of-the-century styling. Breakfast was the most visually stunning meal I've had in a long time, and it was delicious. The bed was very well dressed with cozy duvet and pillows but personally I really did not like the mattress and box springs. My partner said he liked the mattress, though.

I didn't stay there I went to the little cafe. I believe this is what's called cottage core. It's very cute and in a nice location. I grew up in the aves and my parents live there. I love going to the coffee shops there. It's charming and has character and is charming. The coffee is good and it's just such a sweet place to meet a friend and have a chat and lunch in a garden. The food is arguably overpriced but what isn't in SLC? They don't know what shashuka is... Pork in an Israeli/Arab dish? Optional eggs? Anyway but the salads are great.

DARLING B&B convenient to Temple Square and downtown Salt Lake!! If you're a fan of Victorian architecture and great customer service, this spot has your name on it. The proprietors have meticulously restored an astounding multi-story home to its 1860s glory. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, the Ellerbeck Mansion offers free parking, a luscious breakfast, comfortable beds and a peek into the upper crust of 19th century living. The housekeepers, Victoria and Kara were accommodating and caring. It's my new "go-to" spot in SLC.
