Elkton Motel - Motel in Elkton - 17597 Spotswood Trail, USA

This location is owned by Lydia Mountain which is the same company that owns the motel in Shenandoah,VA. I was familiar with the location in Shenandoah, which is a great place to stay, so I assumed this location would be just as high quality. It turns out that it is! The Elkton Motel is quiet and has many high quality features, including a refrigerator, stove, and microwave. I was impressed to see so many appliances available for such an affordable price. I was skeptical due to reading older reviews, but if there were any issues in the past, they seem to be taken care of now, since it is under new management. Melissa is the name of the manager and has been great at answering questions and providing any assistance requested. I give this motel 5 Stars and would recommend this location to anyone needing a high quality place to sleep, for a very affordable price.

Great little motel Be forewarned they do not typically rent rooms overnight. Manager said they cater to long term transient renters. We were lucky and persuaded her to rent for one night. Very nice cozy room with full kitchen. Monthly rate was very reasonable if you are inclined. Beautiful area of Virginia right off skyline drive.

Cottages seem nice but there is nobody to help costumers after dark. We stopped around 7.30 and rang bell and called phone number displayed, we left voicemail and continued to knock on door, until someone unseen turned outside lights off... We left and took our business elsewhere.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the remodel of these rooms/cottages. These rooms are set up as an efficiency now and the design's were very well thought out. It's great for a one night stay and even better if you're planning on staying a few days or longer.

I saw a lighted sign that said 'VACANCY'. This was about 8 PM, not in the middle of the night. I rang the bell. No answer. I rang it a couple more times, then knocked. No answer. I called the phone number and got a recording. Left a message with my phone number and waited 5 minutes, but nobody called me back. I took my business elsewhere. it is unprofessional to me to run a business but not be available.

Wasnt a huge fan of place wasnt entirely clean owner wasnt too fond of "out of staters"
