Once again, a beautiful winter getaway at Elkins. Rustic charm in the accommodations, unending firewood delivered to your door and spectacular views of Priest Lake and the surrounding mountains make Cabin 22 a dream. Oh yes, we must not forget the warm service and delicious food and drink in The Trapper Creek Bar and main restaurant. Make sure to order Stuffed Peppadew Peppers and Seafood Étouffée. The problem with our stay was the weather. We didn’t know it was going to be the coldest weekend of the season. I think if the windows were updated in the cabins then it would be a better winter getaway. The cabins don’t retain heat very well even with a roaring fire. Again it was the coldest weekend of the season. I feel the staff were doing the best they could with what they had. I would love to return in the summer to see that beautiful time of year. Even though we left early due to the cold we were provided with some beautiful sights.

Elkins Resort was just perfect for us. The resort is so beautiful. The rooms have super comfy beds and have everything you need for the perfect stay. The staff is so friendly and do everything to meet the needs of its clients. Then the food is so good from snacks to dinner. Top chef does fantastic menu options. We were there for a family wedding and they made sure everything was set up just as we wanted. I can't thank the staff enough for making this trip one of the best we have had.

This is the place to go in the fall if you want a quiet and beautiful setting. The cabins are clean and well outfitted. The staff is super friendly. The restaurant has the best food ever. We never get tired of staying at Elkins. Any time of year is wonderful here, but an autumn retreat to the lake is extra special.

We had such a lovely time at Elkins Resort. We will definitely come back again to enjoy and explore the area further. The grounds are very rustic and clean. The restaurant on the site has fine dining options. We ordered several dishes and all were well done. The green lawn in front of the restaurant offers a spacious area for a more leisurely dining.

I live at the lake part time and have been going to Elkins since I was born. The service, food and boating facilities are superior. I have had a wedding there, seen three generations of families there and never have a bad experience there. I knew the Elkins and the current owners are carrying on the legacy of the resort in a very high class fashion. It is beautiful and rustic on the outside but full service and professional in every other sense.

Not a great experience. The property and surrounding area is stunning, but we ran into more than a few issues. We were there for a wedding, so I understand they were juggling many things. However, when we killed more than 30 bees in our cabin in less than 12 hours (one being in our bed and stung my partner), they didn’t offer anything more than a “oh my!” and “we can set a trap”. Maintenance was in and out of our cabin all day (banging on the roof and putting down chemicals). When we asked for a one night refund because we didn’t have access to our cabin (I was in the bridal party and had to get ready in 30 minutes for the rehearsal) they responded with “well, you could have gone in”. Service by management was very lacking. ||The lodge and service in the lodge was wonderful. Food is delicious (though over priced). The wait staff was very friendly, and handled a couple BUSY days very graciously. ||Won’t be back because of the cabin and insect fiasco. Would expect more when paying $200+ a night.

We attended our friend’s’ wedding at Elkins. It was an incredible experience! The facility is wonderful! The reception dinner was delicious as was the Sunday brunch for the wedding attendees! The staff was extremely efficient, friendly, and always available for anything needed! We didn’t stay at Elkins but folks who did talked very highly of their experience!
