Had a lunch break there on our ride to Traverse city from Boyne. I swear my wife got lost in there.
This place is a hidden gem! The sculpture park deserves a trip designated just to that. Then of course the beach, with a playground right on the sand on the Bay of Lake Michigan. Drink a beer while pushing your kids on the swings all while watching a Pure Michigan sunset. There is a pavilion with tons of picnic tables and a public restroom. Definitely cross this one off the bucket list!
This is an excellent experience to visiting a beach and walking in the woods near Grand Traverse Bay, MI!!! Most notable is the sculpture art arrayed through the woods and out onto the beach.
I'm a rockhound, sun worshiper, and art lover so this park is amazing! What I also like is it has big trees along the shore at the one end that give shade for my friends who can't handle too much sun. It does get super busy on the weekends during the tourist season.

Lovely area to visit, walk on the trails, through the wooded area, look at the unique art all around. Nice beach area with few people. Slide and swings for kids (or adults) and picnic benches. Nice, off the beaten path park.
