Elizabeth City Coast Guard RV Park - RV park in Elizabeth City - 1414 Weeksville Rd, USA

We stayed 2 weeks and explored the outer banks. There are 2 rows of full hookups 50/30 water and sewer. Sites are well maintained with concrete pads. Space letters are spay painted on your site. The post is Veteran friendly

It's small but has full hook ups. There's a small sandy beach, a dock, & boat launch. There are plenty of picnic tables, & covered pavilions. The shoppette is close. The water is brackish. We've really been enjoying our time here. Will definitely come back.

We went in the commercial gate, but it was a long drive from the RV park we could have fit through the main gate. There were 12 FHU sites that are big rig friendly. It accommodated our 41' fifth wheel and truck with the RV hanging over the grass except we couldn't connect to sewer because it was to far forward. Back in site #F had a nice view of the River on the passenger side. The sunset is from the dock just a short walk from the RV park. There are also three "cabins" overlooking the River.

Quiet, very close to the water. Very easy to get in and out of.

My husband took me to the office to have our retirement ID's made on 4/13/21 and on our way out we stopped by the commissary, it was my first time. The staff was extremely pleasant and made shopping very enjoyable.

I can't really say if its good or bad because most of the pics I recognize from other places, like Hatteras lighthouse, the Oregon inlet area, etc, which are VERY far away from elizabeth city for vacationers. This will lead to alot of bad reviews of our town. It's basically clickbait.

Staff was nice. We stayed here to adventure out to the outer banks and Elizabeth City. Installation was in good spot to accommodate the locations we wanted to visit. Overall the recreation area was nicely furnished with picnic areas, private beach area and boat landing. Email with confirmation and check-in information was very vague. The campground itself was nice and quiet. Lots large and paved. Great place to walk pets. Grounds could have stood a good mowing, plus the fire ant mounds needed some attention. Reservation office closes at 1400 hrs and you can't get assistance after hours or weekends. The campground is patrolled by security which is nice.

The lady that runs it was very rude and disrespectful, I've never been treated like this at any of the famcamps I've been to. If this is how you treat retired disabled vets i want no part of it your a disgrace, and you will never see me here again. If i could give negative 5 stars i would and your overpriced, you ruined the experience for me thanks allot.
