Elia - Greek restaurant in Pleasanton - 310 Main St A, USA

This location has a beautiful interior and exterior that sets the mood for a fine dining experience with a price to match.... However, the food did not match. The presentation was nice but out felt like the seasoning was non existent. When advertising authentic Greek we were expecting a very full flavor profile and unfortunately it expectations were not met. We tried the scallops, calamari, lamb shanks, fillet and three cocktails. Total $201. The cocktails were the best part. Service was not quick. Or table was cleared and wasted refilled twice before we were able to flag down the water for the check. The table was empty for 30 minutes.

The food here is always excellent. The octopus appetizer and spanokopita are must orders. All our entrees today were great (shown in pictures) although I wish my moussaka had more bechamel - personal preference. Cocktails are also great here if you are into that sort of thing! I had a Fire of Olympus which was their take on a spicy margarita on the rocks Service goes above and beyond. They printed personal menus for my mom's birthday!

The price is not worth flavours delivered. Grilled octopus had lost most of its flavour while the texture was burnt and no longer tender. Portion of paella was small but adequate in seafood. Calamari was disappointing, both in texture and flavour.

Had an amazing birthday dinner here. The interior design is exquisite, very Santorini-esque with great wood accents throughout. And then the food was even more impressive, everything was light, delicious, unique. I would recommend the Halibut and the Grilled Lamb for entrees and Grilled Octopus for appetizer. They also have beautiful cocktails and a nice wine menu. Service was also top notch.

This is a fine dining experience with awesome atmosphere & great interior. The service is good but not over the top to match fine dining experience. The food has great presentation and is pricey, but doesn't taste that great. The one item we went for was Saganaki, which was fun to watch as the cheese was burnt right at the table. Eat it hot as it becomes chewy as it gets cold. Parking can be challenging depending on the time and day so plan ahead.

Great service and a perfect spot for a quiet date night! The ambiance and overall vibe create a lovely atmosphere. The food, while simple, hits all the right notes – definitely worth the price for a special occasion. Looking forward to going back!

Had a very pleasant birthday lunch here and will definitely come again. Made a reservation for Saturday at 11am, and the restaurant wasn't too crowded. The interior is gorgeous, but we asked if we could sit in the patio since it was such a nice day out and they said yes. Some members of our party were late, but they didn't badger us or anything. I really appreciated that. Their customer service is absolutely suberb. Put in an order for the seafood breakfast paella on the lunch menu, and it came out within 15 minutes - right as the rest of our party arrived. The paella is EXCEPTIONAL. So so so good!!!!! We ended up ordering another order of it because we loved it so much. We also ordered the sea bass, fried octopus, meatballs, and lamb ringlets. All were delicious. For the drinks, I got a Gatsby - the vodka proportion was too much, felt like I was drinking pure vodka. My mother-in-law got a mocktail and didn't much enjoy it as well. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate molten cake with vanilla ice cream. It was delicious as well. The place gets pretty crowded starting around 12:30! But as I mentioned, will definitely come again (mostly for their paella 😁).

Good atmosphere, food is little pricy and portion is quite small consider it's almost $35+ a plate. The taste is meh, rice feels uncooked, little chewy, fish taste burned, and lamp was ok, ordered medium-rare and came out somewhat accurate, not sure of the food supposed to be that way, but I was somewhat not really enjoying it, not to the point it's bad, presentation was just ok, and service was great though. Went here for my wife's birthday and they gave my wife a little dessert. What I was not happy about was that my lamb rack that the big one was covering the small one that looks like it's missing a chunk. This is a $115 out the door dining experience, and I was not too filled at all, not like it's a big of a deal, but probably not interest to go again. Ok for a one go just to try it out.
