Element Omaha Midtown Crossing - Featured Reviews (811)
Had a great experience at the Element in Midtown Crossing. I booked a king suite, which included a sofa bed and kitchenette (3/4 size fridge with freezer, 2 burner stove top, dishwasher, kitchen sink with filtered water tap, full size coffee maker, toaster, and all the cooking pots, pans, and utensils). The TV was on a swivel on top of a dresser in the middle of the room, which made it easy to watch wherever. There was a small built in desk where I could do work on my laptop and also bar stools under the extended kitchen counter. As a family, we stayed for 4 days. The service team made sure we had everything we needed during our stay, such as fresh towels and enough pillows. Breakfast was top notch and included in the price of the stay. The hotel is also in the same building as a full service grocery store. This was super nice as we could just take the elevator down and go around the corner to pick up food necessities. Parking is extra and is managed by a 3rd party. Management was on the ball and very friendly.
Stayed here for 4 nights while the electricity was off in much of the city. It was an outstanding stay. They had a nice continental breakfast, a complete fitness room, and a laundry room. So, it was a nice place to be during our "staycation." The double queen junior suite was very spacious and comfortable.|The neighborhood is nice with a nice park nearby and a lot of restaurants in the area. Please be advised that parking is 15 per day with in and out privileges.|Also, the employees at the hotel are just great. Two that were memorable were Joe at the front desk and the girl at the front desk who is a student at the Univ. of Iowa. Forgot her name, but she was great at the front desk and checked me in like she was checking a friend in. Those 2 gave great service as did others, too. I would recommend this hotel.|One suggestion would be to have some fresh oatmeal-like other Marriott properties do and not just the packets.
Positive: Clean, comfortable bed, spacious room for what we needed. Nice for a one-night getaway. Very good rate all things considered. Negative: Parking isn't expensive ($15/day) but is extra. That needs to be advertised upfront so customers aren't surprised. No one likes "hidden" or surprise fees.
I waited for close to 15 minutes at the front desk to check in. It was around 9pm. The guy was nice enough about the long wait, but it was clear he was the only person working. The bigger issue is there are no phone or outlet chargers near the bed. This is 2024, you know everyone needs that. This is the first hotel I've been to in a very long time that didn't have this. Please at least get those clock radios that have this for an easy fix in all the rooms.
We stayed for 4 Days and really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was tasty and anything we needed Joe at the front desk was GREAT. He showed us the best places to eat (All within walking distance) and was more than helpful with anything we needed. The location was really nice, it was only 10 minutes from the zoo and close enough to the interstate it was easy to get around town.
The staff here are very nice. However, the entire hotel smells like feet, like a straight up locker room. The foot smell continues into the room! The decoration in the hotel is hideous. I think it's supposes to be mid-century modern, but it's so ugly it's hard to tell. The shower has body wash and a shampoo/conditioner combo, which is not very conditioning. The lotion is supposed to have shea in it, but it is so thin I don't think it does.
This hotel was amazing the full breakfast every morning was delicious, coffee tea and flavored water along with fresh fruit was available all day in the front lobby. The wine and beer happy hour every night was great! We can't say enough about the shuttle driver Amy she is an angel! She took us anywhere we wanted to go within 5 miles of the hotel which just about covers all the attractions in Omaha and she was a wealth of info about the city she made our trip!! The room had a fully stocked kitchen for cooking with access to a grocery store next to the hotel with everything you would need. Plus a little store in the lobby for snacks and drinks.
I checked in late at night and did not see the bathroom until the next morning. It had not been cleaned (trust me, you do not want those details). I asked that it be cleaned that morning and was promised that it would be done within 30 minutes. Same promise 1 hour later. Same promise 1 1/2 later. 2 hours later, still not cleaned and was told they were too busy to clean it. I was allowed to clean the bathroom it on my own if I could find cleaning supplies. I located the cleaning person on my floor, borrowed her products and did an admittedly poor job of cleaning. I asked to speak to the manager - was told no management was on site for the weekend. I followed up the next week and tried to set a time to talk, but management (the same person responding to the online reviews) ceased all communications. Forgetting to clean a bathroom is one thing, but not cleaning it after notice is inexcusable as is "allowing" me to clean it and the lack of follow up from management. Four strikes is too many. I hope this is not a routine occurrence, but not worth the risk. I and the twenty or so other people I was with will not be staying her again.
We stayed here for a fun staycation experience and it was amazing! The decor and aesthetic is unmatched. Excellent attention to detail. Our room was spacious and very clean. The employees are kind; the bottled water at check-in is a nice touch. The l
