Element Harrison - Newark - Featured Reviews (1022)
I’ve been staying at Marriott properties for over 22 years, having stayed nearly 900 nights in all, but this was my first time staying at an Element. I was very impressed with the property and it’s amenities/offerings. Some of what they offer here, for free:|• 2 drink tickets per night to use in their bar (for beer or wine)|• Full breakfast, with a live cooking station where they’ll make an amazing openface egg sandwich similar to an avocado toast|• Nightly tea with three herbal teas to choose from, made fresh from leaves, not bags|The food offered wasn’t the typical watered down scrambled eggs, like in the lower end joints either!||My check-in was ok, not the best it could have been. Some of these amenities above weren’t explained to me, I asked about the breakfast later. The person checking me in said there would be an hour wait for my room, but I had gotten a text in about an hour prior advising to stop by the desk and get my key, as the room was ready.||The room was nice when I got to it. Comfy and plenty of space. Desk was useable, as I used it a lot for work and conference calls. There’s a kitchenette in the room too, with a full size fridge. HVAC wasn’t too loud and actually worked well. Toilet flushed like it should and shower drained like it should. I mention those things because the majority of Marriott properties I’ve stayed in over the past couple of years are going down in quality and those things aren’t always working properly.||Bed was comfy and the bed linens were clean and nicely pressed. They refreshed my room after the first night, but that was it… they didn’t come back after the second night – that’s confusing. ||Parking is easy in the garage directly behind the hotel. The only inconvenience is having to get a prox card from the desk to open the gate to park and leave. You are responsible for this card and have to pay $50 if you don’t return it (according to the sign at the desk). Thus, after leaving, I couldn’t simply drive away, I had to find a place to park along that narrow road to go back in and turn in the card.||If you have business to attend to at the office, this place is attached to the Harrison PATH station, so you literally walk outside, up the steps in the garage and you’re at the train platform. It’s a quick, single stop ride to the Newark Penn Station. I could get to Riverfront Plaza from here in less than 10 minutes from leaving my room.||Overall – Excellent property! Great stay! Service was OK…. If it was better, I would definitely give this place the 5 stars it truly deserves! I’ll definitely return!
10 min walk to the Red Bull Arena, even closer to a PATH station. Staff are very helpful and friendly, room was clean and well outfitted. Though you can hear the train going by periodically, and my view was of the parking garage next door (very convenient parking!), the interior of the hotel was very quiet, and I got a great night's sleep.
I just stayed for one night but everything went great. The hotel is very modern, my room was a small studio with a kitchen area and everything was very quiet. The staff was also super friendly. I would stay there again!
I am not a city person - but we were visting friends and wanted to take a trip into the city for the day and after a bunch of research I landed on this place. Great move! While we wanted to take the Staten Island Ferry into NYC (free - but not the reason) getting to the city from this hotel is as easy as can be. The station is right across the street. The station is clean and really easy. One side gets you to NYC and the other side takes you to Newark (I think). Then you can hop on the 1 subway and be from hotel to Times Square in 50 minutes. We will be back next year for a few more days in NYC. Hotel - was very new, clean and room was loaded. Full fridge, dishwasher, small cook top and awesome bathroom. Rates were great for this area and staff was friendly. They explained things a little fast so I had to check it out for myself to get the directions they were giving me, but when I did and after our 1 day in the city - I felt like I could handle with easy if we stayed longer.
Great spot, not scary, parking easy. I'm giving 4 stars on location because it is so close the the PATH station. It was so loud ( my room was right by it, on previous visits it wasn't bad). Staff is so great, breakfast good with real food.
Great hotel. Another to add to the rotation when back home in NYC. Decor is nice. Rainfall shower head was a plus. Location is amazing. Restaurants and bars are close as well as other stores. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Biggest con is the train station right next door but at least they thought to provide complimentary ear plugs lol. Funny but a nice touch. Also got a room down what seemed like a maze of hallways after being "upgraded". Clean rooms which looked attended to.. All in all great place to lay your head when in the area.
Wonderful stay! Situated across the PATH station for convenient access to Prudential Center and Manhattan (WTC). Free breakfast was much better than other hotels, variety of hot food. Room was very spacious and clean, comes with fully equipped kitchen.
I enjoyed my nine day stay here. For the first five days, I booked a double queen studio. For the next four days, I switched to a studio king room. The reason I booked this hotel is because the Harrison Train Station is directly across the street from it (making travel into Manhattan a breeze) and I could simply leave my car in the parking garage with the option to easily drive it to places in Northern New Jersey and beyond without the hassle of driving in and out of New York City. Plus, onsite parking is only twenty-one dollars a day. I plan to stay here again when I next visit New York City in a couple of months.
Cute little spot. The birria tacos (pictured) here are amazing and the best I've had! We went back almost one year later and I got the Queso Birria tacos and they're even more amazing. Found my new fave! ð«¶ð¼ð®
Very attractive and is such an aesthetic, was a little questionable at first but as soon as the service came along it felt very welcoming. Itâs very put together with the decorations and service didnât take long and was always trying to help out
We have been living here for more than 2 years, and I have to say this is probably one of the best apartment buildings I have lived in. What's great: 1. The units are spacious, if you are looking for the most space with the best price, this is your
Choose this place to meet our friend as she returned from NYC to Philly. Just a couple blocks from the PATH train. The place is large and was quiet on Wednesday afternoon. The portions are large and will provide several days of leftovers.
