Celebrated my 4 year anniversary here and had the best experience of my entire life dining here. The restaurant is super clean and stylish. Customer service was awesome. Food was great. The manager made our celebration extra special. I really can’t overstate how much happiness and joy we experienced. The views are incredible and the best in Visalia. I highly recommend you check this place out!

Stopped in for a cocktail and dessert and was not disappointed. Our cheesecake was divine and both cocktails superb with loads of attention to detail. The space is gorgeous with lots of art deco charm. We loved our server and will definitely be back!

We got a room for New Year’s Eve in their hotel, just to be comfortable. But unfortunately they made it horribly difficult. It was a ridiculous line to just order a drink. While I was waiting in a line, I saw a worker inside their kitchen was licking his fingers, while he was preparing food bites! I saw it with my own eyes. So gross and unbelievable. Be careful with this restaurant! I will also report this to CDPH for the safety hazard 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

My wife and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary at The Elderwood, a rooftop restaurant located at the Darling Hotel in Visalia. We had a wonderful experience overall, and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others. The food was excellent. We started with the pork belly appetizer and salad, which was fresh and flavorful. For our main courses, I had the rack of lamb and my wife had the New York steak. Both dishes were cooked perfectly cooked. The service was also pretty good as well. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations, and we were very happy with the dishes that were suggested. The atmosphere at The Elderwood is simply stunning. The rooftop patio offers stunning views, and the setting is perfect for a romantic evening. We had a wonderful time people-watching and enjoying the beautiful weather. Our only minor complaint was that we had to wait a long time for our check at the end of the meal. However, this was not a major issue, and it did not detract from our overall experience. Overall, we had a wonderful time at The Elderwood. The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to others looking for a special occasion dining experience.

I recently visited Elderwood in Visalia and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed. The chicken dish I ordered was absolutely amazing - it was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. And let's not forget about the dessert - the bread pudding was a beautiful creation and a delicious end to my meal. What really made the experience special, though, was the spectacular views of the Sequoia mountains from the outdoor deck. It was such a treat to enjoy my meal while taking in such breathtaking scenery. To top it all off, the sweet tea was absolutely perfect and the pork belly and spicy tuna appetizers were both incredible. But perhaps what impressed me the most was the service - the staff was cheerful, attentive, and executed everything perfectly. Overall, I had an amazing experience at Elderwood and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious food, beautiful views, and excellent service.

I love the details as you walk in crown molding elevator felt like the great Gatsby there was no corner left boring. Outside seating was very spacious and beautiful but tables do need to be rearranged so one party is not left facing the sun the entire dinner. Other that that the food was really good portions were great. I do wish the desert menu had a wider variety or better options I picked the carrot cake and I loved that it was moist and you could see the nuts in it. I loved that. I highly recommend you try their 48hr soy sugar cured pork belly it was amazing the fat just melts in your mouth it tastes like a sweat savory butter and the slaw just brings it together never tried anything like it before 🥰. Alcohol drink taste were good for me but beware they do have a little kick 😅. I personally didn't mind. Great place to be at if you love watching the sunset🥰.

Came with my husband unplanned but managed to reserve the table and got one. Yeay! We both love the "48-hour soy sugar cured pork belly" The reason I give 4 stars because we ordered the same main course which was New York Strip and somehow the chef forgot to put the peppercorn pecan sauce on my plate yet my husband had 2 portion of peppercorn pecan sauce 😅 I'm giving them a second chance obviously. Overall the food was good. See you again next time!

Our Mother's day lunch was one to remember. It was my mother and mother in laws first time and the service was wonderful. The food was worth every minute waiting, exquisite experience. Thank you to the wonderful manager Mariah and her team.
