Lively place, very busy. Got seated quickly, but the salsa tasted like cocktail sauce, and had a terrible aftertaste. We ordered and got the food in a good time and was hot. The food is okay, I had the lunch chicken fajita and it tasted sweet for some reason. The tortillas were the only good part. The rice tasted like cat piss, the beans were terrible. My husband had the combo, his ground beef was raw, the red sauce was bland, and it was greasy. His beans were good. We really wanted to love it because of all the other good reviews, but save your time and money and go to taco bueno. :(

I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad experience here. Even when they’re packed the service is on point. They are sure to not let any customers feel forgotten, or like they are less appreciated than anyone. The food comes out fast, hot, and delicious. They go above and beyond to make sure your visit isn’t your last. Love it!

Absolutely delicious and always great service! The soup is so soothing and yummy when you are not feeling well. It's also great when you do. Love everything but it is my favorite.

This place is family owned and a great addition to the Tahlequah area. Sergio is a mountain of a man. Everyone, lucky enough to land in his shadow, is indeed blessed to know him. He and his restaurant are everything you would expect. Great food and kind hearts are what you find in this restaurant. The staff is quick and hot . The atmosphere is only eclipsed buy it staff. Great place for a quick lunch or dinner with your family. A true gem of Tahlequah. So if you are in Tahlequah and are craving a taco, tell Sergio, Andy recommended this spot..

This is one of the place I miss about Tahlequah the most! (Aside from family and some friends...) Mom and I were back in the area a couple of months ago, and this is the place we HAD to go to. The chips are thin and crispy, the salsa is great! We had the chicken soup - and it was fantastic as usual! Service was good, people were helpful and friendly - the same family has had this place for YEARS. If you're a local, you already know it's great - if you're passing through, give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

We had a wonderful meal at El Zarape! The cheese dip was delicious and the enchiladas and pollo churizzo were awesome as well. Our food came quickly and the staff was so friendly! 10/10 would recommend.

Have eaten there 3x, ordering the fried Tilapia dinner, which is the BEST ever!!! The meal did take a while to come to the table on my 1st visit, but they were very busy that night and the waiter apologized. Not a problem when less busy. Oh boy, it is an amazing meal with grilled onions underneath the fish that was not breaded, thankfully. It doesn't come with rice and beans or Sour Cream, but I ordered them as sides. The flan was very good! I ordered an extra meal of tamales for the next day, but they were very dry and not tasty. I had plenty of the Tilapia dinner to take home, as well. The waiter was awesome! One of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever tried!
