This place WAS GREAT before, but that has ABSOLUTELY changed since this new management took over. They've raised prices on absolutely everything, and some of them are very disrespectful. Tonight, I got 5 street tacos for $9.99 (which are EXACTLY the size of ghetto taco food truck tacos) I also added a small queso as she was putting in my order because I asked the lady did any queso come on the street tacos and she said no. ANYWHERE in this town, a small quesos is only $2.99, but they charged me $5.98 for ONE SMALL QUESO! I only ordered ONE. When I asked to see the menu to double check the price before paying, she said "well it isn't on there, only our large for $8.99 is on there." Then looked at me and said "sorry that's our prices." I then asked to speak with the manager. Once she came over, she told me that was the price, and I told her that they were clearly making their own prices. As I had the menu in my hand, I plopped the menu onto the table and said "well that's ridiculous you can take one of these off" The manager then replied back to me "do not throw things at me, or I will call the cops" At that point I was completely blown away and puzzled because I definitely did not throw anything at her. I was completely baffled that someone would even say something like that. I told her that if she needed to, she could call the cops and roll the cameras. Then I proceeded to ask if they were going to call or allow me to pay so that I could leave. That's when she continued her attitude and asked me to leave. So I left. I will NEVER return here again! This ladies behavior was so uncalled for and so unprofessional.
Hot sauce was amazing. I'm from Texas so the taste was a lil different, but still good. The beans were phenomenal!!! Great to see a Mexican food restaurant, up North. Lol.
I came 12/09/2023 with my husband, daughter and two of her friends for her birthday lunch. Our server was fantastic and very accommodating. Even after one order was wrong, they fixed it fast and with a great attitude. Definitely now our go to spot for Mexican in Joplin. We had an awesome experience. 😁

0 stars for this place. Took us 45 mins to get our food. We got it to go. Only half of the container was full of food so definitely not what we paid for. Chips were stale. The workers acted like there was nothing wrong with us waiting that long. Not to mention they weren’t even close to being busy either. Not coming back
We reserved a room for a Birthday party. We had 18 people that were in attendance. They assigned 1 waiter for us. He was also waiting on tables for the entire restaurant and I saw him in the kitchen on the grill. Waited forever to get our dinner order in and almost nobody get their drinks refilled. We had to go in the back and refill our own drinks or we wouldn't get them filled. The food orders were all messed up. My friend ordered the nachos and when he finally got them he noticed they had carrots on them. One of our friends never even received his dinner order. If you don't have the staff available they should not be booking events that were scheduled in advance. Our waiter was overwhelmed but he tried his hardest. He really needed help.
The service was great! The rest of it, not so much. The salsa was lacking flavor and texture. We ate off of the lunch menu which obviously meant prepared food thrown together to serve quickly. It had been quite some time since I was there and it will probably be some time before I return.
If I could give minus stars I would. Took my mom and nephew here, place was freezing cold so therefore made the food cold, service was practically non existent and when my nephew asked for a refill (no one at that table had any refills) he was met with this huge sigh and his cup was grabbed up in a manner like it was a horrible thing to be asked of him to do. Not worth the money we spent and the 20% gratuity that was required.
