El Toro - Mexican restaurant in Cornelius - 20930 Torrence Chapel Rd, USA

This place is fantastic! Please go visit them. We went because of a coupon, and ended up having one of the best meals we've had in a long while. The staff is friendly, and very attentive. The bathrooms were very clean, didn't smell like cleaners, had a decent soap, and even had fresh flowers! The restaurant is very nicely decorated, and has plants all over. It has music going, but at a comfortable level. Our food came out fast, and was very tasty! The salsa was child friendly, and was very good. I really appreciate a place that has good flavors without trying to kill everything with peppers and spice.

Very good fajitas, good meat to veg ratio. Delicious chips and salsa. The service was a little slow with not very many customers. Plenty of staff, they just looked preoccupied with each other. Not one to complain but it just stood out. Would recommend and come back

The street tacos were amazing. The steak was was lean and tasty. The chicken tacos weren’t bad at all. Will definitely be back to try the tamales and more!

I was really spoiled with great Mexican food living in Colorado for a while, but for what it is and certainly for the area - El Toro really is pretty good. I'd happily go here again. Might bump it up to 5 stars in the future after trying a few more things on the menu, and trying some other places in the area. Service at the bar was good, food came out pretty quick, and the El Toro Special was really good. Seemed like quality ingredients, and I really appreciate that the rice and beans have flavor instead of just being filler! Portion size was generous and I left full with just chips/salsa and my main. If nothing else I'll withhold 5 stars because the prices aren't listed on their printed menu - though they're available online. Just seems odd to me.

Staff was amazing! Went above and beyond! Chicken and rice and 1/2 & 1/2 sweet tea was really good! Carne Asada steak was a bit chewy. Decent place, sat outside on the patio.

The absolute best Mexican food in the area. We really love coming to El Toro. The food is simple and done right. They really take the recipes from their relatives and put them in at the restaurant. The owners and the family we have known since they first open over 7 years ago. A lot of restaurants and bars have been in this spot before.

Excellent restaurant! The food is delicious, the portions are huge, the restaurant itself is beautiful, and the wait staff are just wonderful! I got the chicken fajitas and still have enough leftovers for 2 lunches. My mom got the chicken enchiladas locas and they were perfect, the sauce was sooo good. My bottle of Modelo was so cold it had little tiny frozen beer chips in it, loved it!! We will be back! Seriously, the staff alone are worth the trip, so accommodating and kind!

Friendly service to start, quick service, all of the drinks were right on point and not over priced.... Fresh chips and decent salsa but the kids loved their quesadillas and fries, steak chicken and shrimp were all fresh and cooked perfect, enchiladas verdes were money also!!! The street corn appetizer is the most authentic since I've been either in Mexico or on the border... Yes I'll strongly recommend giving this place a try
