El Torito - Mexican restaurant in Pasadena - 3333 E Foothill Blvd, USA

Plenty of parking, average prices, friendly employees, and great food!! I love El Torito and their Flautas are the absolute best!!! We got the Chicken Flautas and the flavors sure dance in your mouth!!! :0) it’s perfectly flaky and crispy and yet soft. I also really like the chips and salsa put out upon your arrival. I wish the chips were slightly warmer but it was still appetizing! The chicken was dry but I loved how the onions were flavored! We tried the banana cheesecake cinnamon dessert and it was good (but not mind blowing). I want to come back and try their drinks :0) the mojitos and cocktails look amazing! Our server was friendly but sometimes it took awhile to get help because he was working at least 3 tables. There are plenty of seats inside so it’s great for group meals.

I really enjoyed this location. It has so many good happy hour options! Best 👌 place around town. I took some pictures. All of the food was amazing! It was all fresh, flavorful and juicy. I would write about each item individually but all items I ordered were just great. I'm actually glad I came here honestly. You'll have to try it for yourself . I mean one small con is that the birria tacos meat was not distributed evenly on all 3 tacos. One didn't have anything maybe a string of meat or 2. But the 3rd taco had a clump of meat. A little adjustment but the food was all really good even if it was missing some meat. U should Def come by and try this!

This restaurant has always been in my family for many years, it always a pleasure. The service is great, the food is just like home. We usually tend to come on the holidays because it what bring us together, and because we don’t have to cook. Our server was excellent, are table stay clean the whole time and the buffet is superb. The brunch had many options to choose from. Hey, “ your on a diet, no problem they have a quality Caesar salad, or chop up veggies, and more to choose from. Overall my experience here is always a pleasure, I’m happy to call this place my second home.

My girl and I went there for the first time. The meal was absolutely amazing. Although it took the staff a very long time to serve us. Other than that. It was great.

I’ve been coming to El Torito in Pasadena for years. I enjoy coming here for Happy Hour with friends and family when possible. They have good appetizers and, my favorite delicious margaritas. Great place to meet up, get a bite to eat, and relax. The service is friendly, and the happy hour prices are excellent. Margaritas and Sopes are $6. Check out the menu for more good food options. Happy Hour is every day from 3-7 pm. If you love tacos like me, make it in for Taco Tuesday Happy Hour from 3-10 pm. After a good time at El Torito, walk off the food at the shopping center adjacent to the restaurant. It’s a great location just to hang out.

The food here was amazing! But that margarita flight was something else happy our or not. $10 at happy hour $15 regular price. You must try 😀

Seated fairly quickly but after being seated we sat there for about 25 minutes without any service. Ended up leaving. Notified the front staff, who was more concerned about trying to figure out where the waiter/waitress was. Chose this restaurant based on reviews and it definitely did not live up up to them. Wouldn’t recommend unless you enjoy looking at a menu, which in all fairness looked good.

We're new to the suburbs, and wanted a real suburby experience. I think this was pretty much what we asked for. The wait for a booth was relatively brief, considering the host told us they were short staffed and weren't filling sections. Our waiter was pleasant, though clearly overworked because everything came out super slow: chips and salsa, water, drinks, food. Not his fault, I could tell he was doing his best, but it seemed like the kitchen and bar were both backed up. My food had definitely been under a heat lamp for quite some time while waiting for my husband's salad to be built, as the rice was really dry, but everything ended up tasting mostly fine. The super bland refried beans were all but forgotten because the sweet corn meal was excellent, so there's definitely balance in the universe! The noise level in our section was rather high (kids have strong lungs, and the rooms are devoid of any decor that would absorb sound) and the place lacked any real character, but general cleanliness was fine. The staff was polite and amicable. I guess if we're at Nordstrom Rack for anything and I'm craving chicken flautas, we'll come back.
