El Torito - Mexican restaurant in La Mesa - 5024 Baltimore Dr, USA

We had the Sunday brunch, and it was fantastic! The buffet has a great selection, and the quality is top-notch. They have a sea food section and a desert section with a chocolate fountain self-serve!!

First time in "El Torito". I didn't know to expect. We came in during a brunch. You pretty much get up and get your own food . You can request an omelet or eggs and they have multiple type of drink included in the price. Not bad... place is nice. Customer service is not the best. However, you get right amount of customer service.

Always an incredible experience and excellent value. Our waiter Hilberto was an amazing host as always and even the manager Juan came to our table to meet us and make sure everything was perfect. The food was full of flavor and the drinks were BOMB. Come visit this old gem, you won’t be disappointed!

I always looked at El Torito as that old restaurant parents go to 20 years ago. It was a great experience for the family and I would go again. Food: for the most part ot was just ok. Their happy hour deals though are a great deal. Their desserts are probably better than anything else though. All of their food was very neutral, from their salsa to hot spaces none of it was really knocked out of the park except the deserts. Desserts were amazing amd totally worth the trip. Service: is the big win here. All of their staff, fro. Hosts, bartenders, servers even manager were all at our disposal for anything and all were amazi g through out the dining experience.. Atmosphere: very dated look. Great space but alot of wasted space with a central area used for storage. Overview: a great spot for after work, and dessert. Avoid the tamales but definitely order the flan and fried ice cream.

Loved this place. Service was outstanding despite it being busy. You don't see Mexican brunch often so this is a must try. Update from 2/26 This place is a little too small to do the Sunday brunch. It gets to hectic and crowded in the little space they have. Then at like 35 per person they should have more selections available. The food is amazing though but I would still like to see a new redesign to create more space.

First time coming to this restaurant and it was quite delicious! The unlimited chips and salsa were a nice addition, and the chips came out warm and very fast. I ordered the sampler platter which comes with bone-in or boneless buffalo wings, cheese quesadilla, nachos, and flautas. All were delicious and at $20 it was a decent price given how I was only able to finish half of it. Their drinks (especially their mojito flight) were a little pricey and a little sweet but still enjoyable. Will definitely be back in the future!

Great food. The sizzles combo was fantastic. They have a wide variety of kids meals, sides and comes with a dessert. The birthday boy enjoyed himself! Free delicious flan and a fun song with a Sombrero. The servers were so incredibly friendly. The service was slow at first getting chips and guac. The dinners came out hot and tasty. We will be back.v

Solid place to get a good meal. Service was friendly and accommodating.
