El Tapatio Restaurant - Mexican restaurant in Ardmore - 2611 W Broadway St, USA

It was a very dated place but the service was great and the food was delicious. Our friends ordered a Large Margarita and the server said are you sure? Well I see why he asked, they got a huge glass with 46 oz of drink. Lol.

Nice, bright restaurant with friendly staff. Ordered beef & chicken fajitas. Arrived sizzling with corn tortillas, beans, rice, pico & guacamole. Looked great but beef and chicken had absolutely no flavor. Staff seemed surprised by our complaints. Oh well maybe an off night?

Ordered fajitas the chicken and beef tasted ok gave plenty of food my complaint would be the rice was off and beans were not to my liking staff was friendly though biggest issue was the salsa wasn't good at all chips were a lil stale will try again but reluctantly

Stopped to eat dinner at El Tapatio on our way to Norman. We were not impressed. Everything was very bland. The salsa and guacamole had no flavor. My chicken salad was terrible. There was hardly any lettuce, and the lettuce and tomatoes were not fresh. They brought out a packet of ranch dressing like you get at McDonald’s...yuck! My husband had the chimichanga. The chicken was so dry you could hardly swallow. We never had our drinks refilled either. My husband finally finished off my Diet Coke, which he hates, because he couldn’t get a refill. I definitely don’t recommend!!!

We went there for a quick lunch, order the Tapatío Special, very tasty with an ample amount of shrimp, would have been better with a side of ranchero beans. I ordered a frozen lime margarita as well, it was way too strong for my liking.

The chimichanga with the creamy white queso sauce was buzzing. I felt everything from the chips, the tomato sauce, and the beans were on point! The portions are outstanding too. Their food is probably better than any Tex-Mex food I've tried in Dallas. They get a 10/10 - keep up the good work!

The outside of the store made it really hard to find the door. I thought this place had a drive thru but apparently it did not. Inside the place was nice but a little cramped. The service was not good it took a while until we got attended to and it also took a while for our food to come out. The chips that was given to us was very good but the salsa was very bland. I got the special lunch 7 with guac. The guac was very bland and the steak was dry. The tortilla was plasticity but the rice and beans were good. Overall it's a decent place with some okay food.

This place was damn good. White peppered queso. Decent portion sizes with fast service. I ordered their Fujita Natcho and they gave me a pretty big order smothered with their white peppered Queso with lots of peppers and meat. Very much worth the price
