Decor was nice, food okay. I was intrigued by description, but aside from pineapple chunks mixed in, there was little flavor. Server okay, though never offered to refill glass. Was a slow night, and a small army of waiters was hanging out by bar. After eating used restroom, found it to be dirty with urinal strainer in sink. I won’t be returning.
I’ve been coming to Ardmore for years with my Family, riding our UTVs at Lake Murray, and never visited this restaurant. What a great surprise to go there a few weeks ago with my Brother and some good friends. Food was Fantastic! Service was “spot on”! I’ll be back for sure!!
Coming from Dallas to perform at Ardmore OK. We stopped for dinner on the way back. El Tapatio did not disappoint. Hot and fresh Mexican food. Great customer service, had to wait a little longer than usual but this was a weekend so didn't mind the wait.
I went to the location in Madill. The food was good. I ordered the Pollo Con Queso and told them I wanted cheese sauce on the rice and the chicken, because usually they just put it on the chicken. But they charged me 75 cents extra. I don’t think they have ever charged me extra for this in the past. Plus they charged a convenience fee to use a debit card.

First time I've been to this place and I ordered chicken enchiladas and it was so bland!! No spice, no sauce, dry and was just not good. My friend got quesadillas and there was green pepper, onion and it was very tasty but that fell waaay behind on the enchiladas as far as flavor. I really wish it would've been better. For a Mexican restaurant, I was expecting flavor and some kind of spice or something. The atmosphere and the staff are great! The other food I seen looked great but they just need to work on their enchiladas! 😫 The price was great, $8.76 for 2 chicken enchiladas a la carte but I wish it would've been worth it. Sorry guys!
I was immediately greeted with smiles from a welcoming staff. Authentic Mexican decor and music playing really brought the place alive. With happy hour drinks and savory Mexican cuisine’s that take you back to old Mexico. Why go anywhere else in Ardmore.
The El Tapatio on Commerce definitely is the one that ups it game ! Excellent veggie options too!) The food is always excellent and the place is usually packed . Staff is super nice the place is clean -the food ? Oh my !! Salsa verde is awesome.-if you’ve been disappointed in other green salsas you won’t be this one .For those who like heat you can get habanero salsa by request. The grilled serranos are addicting. Idk what they season them with but I’ll get a full order for myself . ( You can get grilled jalapeños and onions mixed or as is too ). Everything is good here .Meat or veggie . For my vegetarian friends -their veggie fajitas are a must . They will let you choose cheese and onion enchiladas vs meat . Wonderful selection of food for everyone. Good menu for kids too . Best Mexican/Tex Mex in our area . Oh before I forget-they are kind enough to caution you that a calliente ( hot ) item is indeed hot. * it is-just like I like it . Their iced tea is really good too- you’ll want to take a glass with you .
