El Taco Loco - Mexican restaurant in New Orleans - 634 S Carrollton Ave, USA

This is THE SPOT for Taco Tuesdays now for me! Martín was so nice and i can tell they take great pride in their food! I will absolutely be back. And i was able to practice my Spanish which i always appreciate.

Food was very dry and had no flavor! The tacos were $6 a piece and it def was not worth it. Meat taste as if it was prepared in the morning and dried out through the day. Will not recommend.

Finally a great restaurant at this location! All the food I’ve tried here over the last few months has been delicious. The carnitas tacos are a must try! The queso is so well spiced. Pairs perfectly with their margaritas. One of my favorite spots Uptown Pictured: chimichanga with 2 carnitas tacos

The best spot for Taco Tuesday in New Orleans. They have $2 tacos and $4 small margaritas on Tuesdays. On Tuesday’s there is usually a lot of Tulane students and a line but it moves pretty fast. The food is delicious and there is plenty of seating ( they also have a balcony). I ordered 3 chicken tacos and my friend got a steak quesadilla with margaritas of course. We definitely enjoyed. I would highly recommend checking El Taco Loco out.

They apparently can't even make basic things like tacos according to their own menu. It's not very hard to simply put onions and cilantro on your tacos if your menu says they're supposed to have them. And $18.50 for three tacos I paid $6 for just three years ago? That might be ok if they were made right and were decently sized. I had high hopes for this place, but it's unfortunately just as disappointing as far too many other restaurants in this city.

Amazing food made fresh, great staff and they even serve shots of Clase Azul tequila if you ever wanted to try it. I had their Chimi Changa and I will definitely be going back. Thanx for everything.

The one word that comes to mind for me to describe this place is “sensational.” The warm welcoming atmosphere and the quality of food is unmatched!! Don’t forget to pair your food with a delicious margarita! Also the prices are very fair! This is my spot for tacos, no question.

Even try a new place for taco Tuesday was impressed by all the Google reviews and they said they had a taco Tuesday special. Made it all the way to South Carrollton passed all the potholes to stumble upon what I would think to be a great place to eat. The tacos even though they were $2 a piece are very bland, short on meat, an absolutely no flavor. I was going to get chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant but for the price of $7.50 which is usually free everywhere else it's kind of crazy Get the rice and beans for $3 don't know how that's cheaper than chips in a management standpoint. But take a guess, that was also super super bland. Worst Spanish food I've had in a long time. I'd rather go to the westbank get free chips n salsa and get a real taco Tuesday deal with flavor and hot sauce.
